Milbertshofen (Central Bavarian: ''Muibatshofa''), Am Riesenfeld and Am Hart (Central Bavarian: ''Am Hoart'') are three boroughs situated in the north of Munich in Germany. Jointly, they form the city district 11 Milbertshofen-Am Hart. , the three boroughs had 76.255 inhabitants. Location Milbertshofen-Am Hart is surrounded by Schwabing-Freimann (east), Schwabing-West (south), Neuhausen-Nymphenburg (southwest), Moosach and Feldmoching-Hasenbergl (west). Am Hart
Am Hart (Central Bavarian: ''Am Hoart'') is the northernmost of the three sub-districts of the Munich city district 11 Milbertshofen-Am Hart. Location The district of Am Hart extends north of the Munich North Ring, between Ingolstädter Straße in the east and Schleissheimer Straße in the west, up to the northern edge of the city at the A99. It therefore borders Oberschleissheim in the North, Schwabing-Freimann in the East, Milbertshofen in the South and Feldmoching-Hasenbergl in the West. Description In the year 2015, Am Hart had 29,029 inhabitants, with a population density of 4,199.8 inhabitants/km2. On the south-western part of the still existing open-air area known as the Panzerwiese, the Nordhaide settlement exists since the 1990s and is home to several thousand inhabitants. Am Riesenfeld
Am Riesenfeld is the westernmost of the three subdistricts of the Munich city district 11 Milbertshofen-Am Hart. Location North of the Petueltunnel route, borders the district Am Riesenfeld which is further separated by the Korbinianstraße or Schleißheimer Straße to the east, to the neighboring district Milbertshofen. In the north, it is separated from the district Lerchenau by the railway tracks or a part of the Wilhelmine-Reichard-Straße, in the west it is separated by the Landshuter Allee or the abandoned tracks of the Moosach district. In the southwest, the boundary of the district Am Riesenfeld to the district of Neuhausen-Nymphenburg runs along the ''Willi-Gebhardt-Ufer'' to the ''Spiridon-Luis-Ring'', which forms the western boundary of the ''Olympia Park'' on the western border of the larger ''Olympiaberg'', and then along to Ackermannstraße. The Olympiapark (English: Olympic Park) in Munich, Germany, is an Olympic Park which was constructed for the 1972 Summer Olympics. Moosach (München)
Moosach is the 10th northwestern district of Munich, Bavaria, Germany. It is sectioned in the urban districts Hartmannshofen, Pressestadt and Borstei. It is surrounded by: Feldmoching-Hasenbergl (north), Milbertshofen-Am Hart (east), Neuhausen-Nymphenburg (south), Pasing-Obermenzing (southwest) and Allach-Untermenzing (west). It has a history of 4000 years of human settlement. History and structure An almost uninterrupted chain of prehistoric finds suggests a continuous settlement from 4000 years up to the younger Stone Age. Moosach is thus one of the oldest places around and in Munich. The first documentary mention dates from 4 June 807, and the first church St. Martin was built before 1315. BMW Museum
The BMW Museum is an automobile museum of BMW history located near the Olympiapark in Munich, Germany. The museum was established in 1973, shortly after the Summer Olympics opened. From 2004 to 2008, it was renovated in connection with the construction of the BMW Welt, directly opposite. The museum reopened on 21 June 2008. At the moment the exhibition space is 5,000 square metres for the presentation of about 120 exhibits. Architecture and design The "Time Horizon(s)" exhibition The museum shows BMW's technical development throughout the company's history. It contains engines and turbines, aircraft, motorcycles, and vehicles in a plethora of possible variations. BMW Welt
The BMW Welt is a combined exhibition, delivery, adventure museum, and event venue located in Munich's district Am Riesenfeld, next to the Olympic Park, in the immediate vicinity of the BMW Headquarters and factory. It was built from August 2003 to summer 2007. A solar system with 800 kW of power is installed on the roof of the main building. The opening took place on 17 October 2007. The BMW Welt is the most visited tourist attraction in Bavaria. Operations BMW Welt operations are coordinated with the other local BMW facilities, the BMW Museum and BMW Headquarters.
