Mikkel Beck
Mikkel Venge Beck (; born 12 May 1973) is a Danish former professional footballer who played as a forward. He scored three goals in 19 games for the Denmark national team, and represented Denmark at the international Euro 1996 and Euro 2000 tournaments. Early life Mikkel Beck was born in Aarhus, Denmark. Beck is the son of former Danish footballer Carl Beck, who played for AGF in the Danish first division in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Club career Beck started his career with Danish lower league club Kolding IF, before playing a single season in the Danish Superliga for B 1909. He moved abroad to play professionally for German 2. Bundesliga club Fortuna Köln in 1993. Aarhus (, , ; officially spelled Århus from 1948 until 1 January 2011) is the second-largest city in Denmark and the seat of Aarhus municipality, Aarhus Municipality. Aarhus Gymnastikforening
Aarhus Gymnastikforening (; commonly known as AGF ) is a professional sports club based in Aarhus, Jutland, Denmark. Founded in 1880, it is one of the oldest clubs in the country where gymnastics and fencing were featured as its main sports. However, AGF is mostly known for its football department, which was established in 1902. Currently, the club's first team plays in the Danish Superliga, the top flight of the Danish football league system. Danish Cup
The Danish Cup (; often referred to as Pokalen) is the official "single-elimination tournament, knockout" cup competition in Danish football, run by the Danish Football Association. The cup has been contested annually since 1955. The winner will qualify for the UEFA Europa League tournament the following year, where they (as of the 2009–10 season) will enter in the third qualifying round. The final traditionally takes place on ''Kristi Himmelfarts Dag'' (Feast of the Ascension, The Ascension) and it is always played in the Danish national stadium Parken. 1999–2000 Danish Superliga
The 1999–2000 Danish Superliga season was the 10th season of the Danish Superliga league championship, governed by the Danish Football Association. It took place from the first match on July 24, 1999, to final match on May 28, 2000. The Danish champions qualified for the third UEFA Champions League 2000-01 qualification round, the runner-up entered the Champions League in the second qualification round, while the third placed team qualified for the first qualification round of the UEFA Cup 2000-01. The fourth and fifth placed teams qualified for the UEFA Intertoto Cup 2000, while the two lowest placed teams of the tournament was directly relegated to the Danish 1st Division. Branko Strupar
Branko Strupar (born 9 February 1970) is a Croatian-Belgian former professional footballer who played as a striker. In 1999, he became a naturalised Belgian. He consequently played for the Belgium national team, with whom he played 17 matches and scored five times. Early career Strupar was born in Zagreb, Croatia, Yugoslavia and started his footballing career with the local county tier club Špansko in the west of the city. He was scouted by a number of Croatian and European clubs in early 1990s, and ultimately joined Genk in 1994. Club career Strupar played in Belgium for Genk, winning promotion to the Belgian First Division in 1996, and becoming champion of Belgium with the same team in 1999. The Football League First Division was the top division of the Football League in England from 1888 until the end of the 1991–92 season, when its teams broke away to form the Premier League. Promotion and relegation is used by sports leagues as a process where teams can move up and down among divisions in a league system, based on their performance over a season. Leagues that use promotion and relegation systems are sometimes called open leagues.
