Mike Hope
Michael S. Hope is an American politician and member of the Republican Party (United States), Republican Party from the state of Washington. He served as a member of the Washington House of Representatives, representing the 44th district. Hope was born in Cleveland Ohio and graduated with a B.A. in Sociology from John Carroll University and an M.A in Policy Studies at the University of Washington. He served in the United States Marine Corps Reserve from 1994 to 2001. A former Seattle police officer, he was first elected to the State House in 2008, narrowly defeating Democratic incumbent Liz Loomis. A moderate Republican, he was easily re-elected in 2010 and 2012. In 2013, he was the lone House Republican to support a bill expanding background checks on most sales of private handguns. Washington's 44th legislative district is one of forty-nine electoral district, districts in Washington (state), Washington state for representation in the Washington State Legislature, state legislature. The district covers a large area mostly east of Everett, Washington, Everett, including the cities of Maltby, Mill Creek and Snohomish, Washington, Snohomish. Doug Roulstone
Douglas R. Roulstone (born January 11, 1950) is a former United States Navy officer. He served for two months in the Washington House of Representatives. A Republican, he was appointed on September 26, 2014, by Governor Jay Inslee to serve out the unexpired term of Mike Hope, who resigned in July. He was local Republican leaders' third choice for appointment to Hope's seat. The Washington House of Representatives is the lower house of the Washington State Legislature, and along with the Washington State Senate makes up the legislature of the U.S. state of Washington. The Marine Forces Reserve (MARFORRES or MFR), also known as the United States Marine Corps Reserve (USMCR) and the U.S. Marine Corps Forces Reserve, is the reserve force of the United States Marine Corps. The Marine Corps Reserve is an expeditionary, warfighting organization and primarily designed to augment and reinforce the active duty units of the Marine Corps in their expeditionary role. Snohomish County Executive
The Snohomish County Executive is the head of the executive branch of Snohomish County, Washington. The position has four-year terms (with a term limit of three consecutive terms) and is a partisan office. History County voters approved the adoption of a home-rule charter for Snohomish County on November 6, 1979, creating the position of a county executive and a five-member county council. Prior to the adoption, the county government was led by three commissioners elected at-large. The new position took effect on May 1, 1980, with Willis Tucker elected as the first executive. Aaron G. Reardon is an American politician and lobbyist who served as the Snohomish County Executive from 2004 to 2013. First elected to the post in 2003, Reardon was sworn in as the youngest county executive in the United States. On February 21, 2013, Reardon announced his resignation effective May 31, 2013. Prior to serving as Snohomish county executive, Reardon served as a Washington State Senator and a member of the state House of Representatives. Education Reardon attended Mariner High School in Everett, Washington and lettered in football and swimming.
