Aaron Reardon (politician)
Aaron G. Reardon is an American politician and lobbyist who served as the Snohomish County Executive from 2004 to 2013. First elected to the post in 2003, Reardon was sworn in as the youngest county executive in the United States. On February 21, 2013, Reardon announced his resignation effective May 31, 2013. Prior to serving as Snohomish county executive, Reardon served as a Washington State Senator and a member of the state House of Representatives. Education Reardon attended Mariner High School in Everett, Washington and lettered in football and swimming. His interest in competitive swimming led him to attend Central Washington University, but his swim career ended two months after his arrival. He earned dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in economics and public administration. During college, he volunteered on multiple statewide and local Democratic campaigns. Snohomish County Executive
The Snohomish County Executive is the head of the executive branch of Snohomish County, Washington. The position is subject to four-year terms (with a term limit of 3) and is a partisan office. History County voters approved the adoption of a home-rule charter for Snohomish County on November 6, 1979, creating the position of a county executive and a five-member county council. Prior to the adoption, the county government was led by three commissioners elected at-large. The new position took effect on May 1, 1980, with Willis Tucker elected as the first executive. Mike Hope
Michael S. Hope is an American politician and member of the Republican Party from the state of Washington. He served as a member of the Washington House of Representatives, representing the 44th district. Hope was born in Cleveland Ohio and graduated with a B.A. in Sociology from John Carroll University and an M.A in Policy Studies at the University of Washington. He served in the United States Marine Corps Reserve from 1994 to 2001. A former Seattle police officer, he was first elected to the State House in 2008, narrowly defeating Democratic incumbent Liz Loomis. A moderate Republican, he was easily re-elected in 2010 and 2012.
