Mike Fitzgerald is a game designer who has worked primarily on collectible card games. Career Mike Fitzgerald started designing games shortly after ''Magic: The Gathering'' came out in 1993. His first design was the trading card game ''Wyvern'', which was published by U.S. Games. ''Ticket to Ride'' is a railway-themed German-style board game designed by Alan R. Moon. It was illustrated by Julien Delval and Cyrille Daujean and published in 2004 by Days of Wonder. The game is also known as ''Zug um Zug'' (German), ''Les Aventuriers du Rail'' (French), ''Aventureros al Tren'' ( Spanish), ''Wsiąść do pociągu'' ( Polish), and ''Menolippu'' ( Finnish). ''Wyvern'' is an out-of-print collectible card game featuring dragons and wyverns battling for treasure. The game was produced by U.S. Games Systems, with the first, "Premiere Limited", card set launched in January 1995. In 1997, the "Kingdom Unlimited" edition was released, featuring 277 cards, and marking the end of production. Game overview Wyvern is a two player game with two decks per player (with each player supplying their own two decks). One of the decks, the ''Dragon Lair Draw Pile'', consists of ''dragon'' and ''terrain'' cards. The other deck, the ''Treasure Horde Draw Pile'', consists of ''action'' and ''treasure'' cards. Released by Wizards of the Coast in 2000, the X-Men Trading Card Game was a collectible card game (CCG) designed to coincide with the popularity of the film X-Men, the first of the X-Men film series. This set had featured character art similar to that of film and included characters who did not appear in the movie. It was released in July 2000.
