Mikaela Dombkins
Mikaela Dombkins (born 1 August 1986) is an Australian professional basketball player and coach. She played 11 seasons in the Women's National Basketball League (WNBL) between 2003 and 2016. She currently serves as an assistant coach with the Bendigo Spirit of the WNBL. Early life Dombkins was born in Newcastle, New South Wales. She played her junior basketball for the Maitland Mustangs. Professional career Australian Institute of Sport (2003–2006) Dombkins came to the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) on a scholarship when she was 16. She played for the AIS WNBL team in the WNBL between 2003 and 2006. She endured knee and foot injuries during her time at the AIS. In October 2005, she scored 24 points against the Perth Lynx. Sydney Uni Flames (2006–2008) For the 2006–07 WNBL season, Dombkins joined the Sydney Uni Flames. She played two positions for the team, guard and forward. The University of Canberra Capitals are an Australian professional women's basketball team competing in the Women's National Basketball League (WNBL). The team is based in Canberra, Australian Capital Territory. In 2014 the University of Canberra Union took control of the Capitals from Basketball ACT. Perth Lynx
The Perth Lynx are an Australian professional basketball team based in Perth, Western Australia. The Lynx compete in the Women's National Basketball League (WNBL) and play their home games at Bendat Basketball Centre. For sponsorship reasons, they are known as the Northern Star Resources Perth Lynx. The Lynx were established in 1988 as the Perth Breakers. The South East Australian Basketball League (SEABL) was an Australian semi-professional basketball league. The league comprised both a men's and women's competition and was run by the country's governing body, Basketball Australia. The league was one and the same with the Australian Basketball Association (ABA) from its inception in 1981 until 1993. The 2015–16 WNBL season is the 36th season of competition since its establishment in 1981. A total of 9 teams contested the league. The regular season was played between October 2015 and February 2016, followed by a post-season involving the top four on 28 February to 18 March 2016. The Townsville Fire were the defending champions and they would go on to repeat their run to the WNBL title, defeating the Perth Lynx 2–0 in the final. Michelle Cosier (née ''Musselwhite'') (born 30 April 1982) is an Australian basketball player who has played for the Canberra Capitals in the WNBL. Personal Cosier was born in Bairnsdale, Victoria on 30 April 1982. She is tall. She is married and her maiden name was Musselwhite. She has a son who was born in the last week of February 2010. He was Cosier and her husband's first child. She has two brothers and a sister. When not playing basketball, Cosier works with indigenous children, promoting healthy living.
