Mika Meijer
Mika Meijer (born 5 April 2001) is a motorcycle speedway and Long track motorcycle racing, long track rider from the Netherlands. Career Meijer came to prominence when he reached the U19 final of the 2017 Individual Speedway Junior European Championship. In 2020, he competed for the 'Young Europe' team during the 2020 Team Speedway Junior European Championship final. Meijer has concentrated on Long track racing in recent years and finished 11th in the 2022 Individual Long Track World Championship and competed in the 2023 Individual Long Track World Championship. His clubs have included MSC Schwarme in Germany, Smålänningarna in Sweden and in Vojens Speedway Klub in Denmark. He won the Dutch speedway title in 2023, and also in 2023, was part of the Dutch team, along with Romano Hummel, Dave Meijerink and Jannick de Jong, that won the 2023 Team Long Track World Championship. 2023 Individual Long Track World Championship
The 2023 FIM Long Track World Championship was the 53rd edition of the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme, FIM Individual Long Track World Championship. Mathieu Trésarrieu was the defending champion having won the title in 2022 Individual Long Track World Championship, 2022, but did not compete. Germany's Martin Smolinski won the championship by seven points from Chris Harris (speedway rider), Chris Harris, despite not winning a Grand Prix. It was the second time he won the title, having also triumphed in 2018 Individual Long Track World Championship, 2018. 2023 Team Long Track World Championship
The 2023 FIM Long Track of Nations was the 15th annual Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme, FIM Team Long Track World Championship. The final took place on 24 September 2023 in Roden, Netherlands, Roden, Netherlands. The Netherlands won the event for a fourth time, with 2021 Individual Long Track World Championship, 2021 individual World Long Track champion Romano Hummel winning all six of his races for a maximum 30 points. Jannick De Jong
Jannick de Jong (born 7 June 1987) is a Dutch former motorcycle racer. Hecompeted primarily in longtrack and grasstrack. He was the 2015 world champion in longtrack. Career De Jong represented the Netherlands national long track team in the World Longtrack Championship from 2007 to 2023 and on three occasions has won the World championship titles at the 2013 Team Long Track World Championship in Folkestone, England, 2016 Team Long Track World Championship in Mariánské Lázně in the Czech Republic and in 2023, when he was part of the Netherlands team, along with Romano Hummel, Dave Meijerink and Mika Meijer, that won the 2023 Team Long Track World Championship. Dave Meijerink (born 23 March 2000) is a long track rider, grasstrack racer and motorcycle speedway from the Netherlands. Career Meijerink was beginning to impress in the Netherlands during 2017 but came to prominence when he reached the finals of both the 2018 Team Long Track World Championship and the 2018 Individual Long Track World Championship. He finished just outside the medal placings in the former, finishing in fourth place. He repeated the fourth-place finish in the 2022 Team Long Track World Championship. Meijerink has concentrated solely on Long track racing and grasstrack racing in recent years and finished 16th in the 2022 Individual Long Track World Championship and competed in the 2023 Individual Long Track World Championship. Romano Hummel
Romano Hummel (born 4 January 1999) is an international speedway rider from the Netherlands. Speedway career Hummel became the Long Track World Champion, after winning the 2021 Individual Long Track World Championship. He had previously won a bronze medal at the 2017 Team Long Track World Championship. He rode in the 2016 Premier League speedway season of British Speedway in 2016, riding for the Berwick Bandits. Dackarna is a motorcycle speedway club from Målilla in Sweden who compete in the Swedish Elitserien. Their home track since 1993 has been the Skrotfrag Arena which was the venue for the Grand Prix of Scandinavia and is the current venue for the Speedway Grand Prix of Sweden. They ride in the Elitserien and are six times champions of Sweden. History 1935 to 1964 The team was founded in May 1935 as Målilla Motorklubb and in 1949 renamed itself Dackarna (in honour of Nils Dacke) and the club began league racing. The team raced at the Gamla Målilla Motorstadion but in 1956, the team rode their matches at the Växjö Motorstadion. The 2020 Team Speedway Junior European Championship was the 13th Team Speedway Junior European Championship season. It was organised by the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme and was the 9th as an under 21 years of age event. The final took place on 29 August 2020 in Łódź, Poland.
