Michael Jennings (boxer)
Michael "Mikey" Jennings (born 9 September 1977) is a British former professional boxer who competed from 1999 to 2010. He challenged once for the vacant WBO welterweight title in 2009. At regional level, he held the British welterweight title from 2005 to 2006. He has 2 sons, Mikey and Jack, and a daughter, Macy. Professional career Jennings turned with a 1st-round knockout of Tony Smith. Jennings in his early fights, with victories over journeyman fighters such as Lee Molyneux, Brian Coleman and Paul Denton. In May, 2003, Jennings won his first title when he defeated Jimmy Gould for the minor WBU International welterweight title. Welterweight
Welterweight is a weight class in combat sports. Originally the term "welterweight" was used only in boxing, but other combat sports like Muay Thai, taekwondo, and mixed martial arts also use it for their own weight division system to classify the opponents. In most sports that use it, welterweight is heavier than lightweight but lighter than middleweight. Peter Manfredo Jr. (born November 26, 1980) is a former American professional boxer and former IBO middleweight champion. He has challenged twice for upper-level world titles, at middleweight and super middleweight, as well as having won the NABO, IBU and European Boxing Association (EBA) light middleweight titles. World Boxing Union
The World Boxing Union (WBU) was a boxing sanctioning body. The original WBU was founded in January 1995 by IBF European representative, boxing journalist, actor and former holder of the title of Britain's heaviest man Jon W. Robinson. It sanctioned boxing with various promoters worldwide. Following Robinson's death in 2004, the organization became dormant and was eventually dissolved. David Barnes (boxer)
David Barnes (born David Smith, 16 January 1981) is a British former professional boxer who competed from 2001 to 2015. He held the British welterweight title from 2003 to 2004 and the British super lightweight title in 2008. Career Barnes made his professional debut in July 2001 when at the Manchester Velodrome he stopped Trevor Smith in the second round of their four-round match.
