World Boxing Union
The World Boxing Union (WBU) was a boxing sanctioning body. The original WBU was founded in January 1995 by IBF European representative, boxing journalist, actor and former holder of the title of Britain's heaviest man, Jon W. Robinson. It sanctioned boxing with various promoters worldwide. Following Robinson's death in 2004, the organization became dormant and was eventually dissolved. In 2010, the WBU brand was revitalized in the U.S. by Don "Moose" Lewis – President of the International Boxing Union and Women's International Boxing Council. Shortly thereafter, it decided to reestablish itself totally independent of any legal reference to the original organization so as to not expose today's WBU to any remaining potential liabilities from the previous company. Nikhom Chuboon, also known as Sornpichai Kratingdaenggym () or Sornpichai Pitsanurachan (), is a Thai former professional boxer who competed from 1995 to 2001 and held the WBA flyweight title from 1999 to 2000. Biography and career Born in Lampang and raised in Kamphaeng Phet in northern Thailand. He started his combat sports career with Muay Thai before moving on to professional boxing. Michael Gomez
Michael Gomez (born Michael Armstrong; 21 June 1977) is a former professional boxer who competed from 1995 to 2009. He was born to an Irish Traveller family in Longford, Ireland, spending his early years in Dublin before moving to London and later Manchester, England, with his family at the age of nine. In boxing he was affectionately known as "The Predator", "The Irish Mexican" and "The Mancunian Mexican". Despite finishing his career fighting in the lightweight division, Gomez is more notable for his fights at featherweight and super-featherweight. Willie Limond
Willie Limond (2 February 1979 – 15 April 2024) was a Scottish professional boxer and footballer. He held the EBU European Union super featherweight title in 2004, the Commonwealth lightweight title from 2006 to 2007, the Commonwealth super lightweight title from 2013 to 2014, and the British super lightweight title in 2014.
