Miami Dutch Lions FC is an American professional soccer club based in the Miami metropolitan area. The Lions competes in National Premier Soccer League, as a member of the Sunshine Conference. The club was founded in Conroe, Texas in 2011, before relocating to Olympia Heights, Florida in 2019. They are owned by Martin Kroeze. History Miami Dutch Lions FC was formed on November 17, 2011, as Texas Dutch Lions FC, and played their inaugural season in the USL Premier Development League in 2012, finishing 4th in the Mid South Division of the Southern Conference. The youth academy of the club began training in 2011, with only one location in Conroe, Texas. In 2012, the academy expanded to its second training location to service players in The Woodlands. On April 1, 2013, Texas Dutch Lions FC changed their official name to Houston Dutch Lions FC. The club has been using the new title for several months, but it was not official until April 1. Ted Hendricks
Theodore Paul Hendricks (born November 1, 1947), nicknamed "the Mad Stork," is a Guatemalan-American former professional football linebacker who played for 15 seasons with the Baltimore Colts, the Green Bay Packers, and the Oakland / Los Angeles Raiders in the National Football League (NFL). He was a member of four Super Bowl-winning teams, and was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1990 after being elected to the College Football Hall of Fame in 1987. He is the first Guatemalan-born player in the NFL. He played college football for the Miami Hurricanes. Early life Hendricks was born on November 1, 1947, in Guatemala City to a Guatemalan-born mother of Italian descent and an American father. Robert Patrick Maaskant (; born 10 January 1969) is a Dutch professional football manager and former player who is the head coach of club Helmond Sport. Club career Maaskant played for Go Ahead Eagles, Emmen, Motherwell, Zwolle and Excelsior. Managerial career A former assistant coach at Go Ahead Eagles and Zwolle, Maaskant was appointed head coach of RBC Roosendaal for the 1999–2000 season. He remained in charge for three years before joining Go Ahead Eagles. After a seven-month stint in Deventer, he returned to RBC Roosendaal before moving to Willem II in the summer of 2004. Florida Gulf Coast Dutch Lions FC is an American soccer team based in Cape Coral, Florida, United States. The club was founded in April 2015. In the season of 2018 the club grew to 140 Youth Academy members, 25 Lion Cubs members and a Women's Team . Since the start of the club, the Youth Academy have 3 teams in top 50 of the State and every team is in the top 100 of the state. From the U8 to the U16G, every single team won a tournament once a season. In February 2017 the U10B won the Bazooka President's Day Tournament in Winter Haven with a 5–4 victory in the final. The Cincinnati Dutch Lions FC is an American amateur soccer club based in Cincinnati, Ohio, and playing home games in the suburb of Highland Heights, Kentucky. Founded in 2013, the team played in USL League Two. The club went into hiatus during the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic. The club was last owned by majority stakeholder Hans Philippo, who purchased the club alongside Club President Robert Rack in January 2017. The Dayton Dutch Lions are an American soccer team based in Dayton, Ohio, United States. Founded in 2009, the team plays in USL League Two, the fourth tier of the American Soccer Pyramid.
