This article lists the songs and artists that have won Melodifestivalen, the Swedish national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest. There was no competition in 1964, 1970, and 1976. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Europe, Melodifestivalen 2020, 2020 marked the first year that the winning song of Melodifestivalen ("Move (The Mamas song), Move" performed by The Mamas) was unable to compete in Eurovision Song Contest 2020, that year's Eurovision Song Contest. Melodifestivalen (; ) is an annual song competition organised by Swedish public broadcasters Sveriges Television (SVT) and Sveriges Radio (SR). It determines the country's representative for the Eurovision Song Contest, and has been staged almost every year since 1959. Carli Tornehave
Carli Tornehave (born 26 August 1932, in Stockholm), is a Swedish/Danish singer and actor. Tornehave was born in Stockholm, but grew up in Denmark, where he and his family moved when he was four years old. He started playing music at an early age, playing several instruments and becoming a member of the Copenhagen Boys' Choir and later the Tivoli Orchestra. He returned to Sweden at the age of 18. In 1954 he won a vocal competition in Stockholm, where he came into contact with the Swedish musician and entertainer Charlie Norman and sang with his orchestra for a few years, which included several tours of the folk parks. He also appeared in a few feature films. As a singer he has been called "Sweden's Frank Sinatra". Tornehave made his recording debut in 1958 with "Första gången", the Swedish version of the Italian smash hit Come Prima. Monica Zetterlund
Monica Zetterlund (born Eva Monica Nilsson; 20 September 1937 – 12 May 2005) was a Swedish jazz singer and actress. She represented Sweden in the 1963 Eurovision Song Contest with the jazz ballad " En gång i Stockholm" ("Once Upon a Time in Stockholm"). Through her lifetime, she starred in over 10 Swedish film productions and recorded over 20 studio albums. She gained international fame through her collaborative album with Bill Evans, '' Waltz for Debby.'' Barbro Margareta Svensson (9 March 1938 – 3 April 2018), known by her stage name Lill-Babs, was a Swedish singer, actress and television host. From the early 1950s until her death in 2018, she was one of Sweden's best-known and popular singers.
