Melis Sezen (born 2 January 1997) is a Turkish actress. She is best known for her roles in ''Tainted Love'' (2019), ''The Miracle 2: Love'' (2019), ''The Unfaithful'' (2020–2022), ''Gülcemal'' (2023–2024), and ''Genius'' (2024–present). Carmen Melis (15 August 1885 – 19 December 1967) was an Italian operatic soprano who had a major international career during the first four decades of the 20th century. She was known, above all, as a verismo soprano, and was one of the most interesting singing actresses of the early 20th century. She made her debut in Novara in 1905 and her career rapidly developed in her native country over the next four years. From 1909 to 1916, she performed with important opera companies in the United States; after which she was busy performing at many of Europe's most important opera houses. Dorothea Melis (born Dorothea Voigt: 22 February 1938 – 29 June 2015) was a German fashion journalist. Life Early years Dorothea Voigt was born in Berlin. Her father worked as an architect. She grew up with her family in Berlin's Weissensee quarter, ending up after the war in the Soviet occupation zone, which would be relaunched in October 1949 as the Soviet sponsored German Democratic Republic (East Germany). She studied fashion and design at the Berlin-Weißensee Visual and Applied Arts academy. At the end of the course students were required to submit a dissertation. José Melis Guiu (February 27, 1920 – April 7, 2005) was a Cuban-American bandleader and television personality. Biography Melis was born in Havana, Cuba. He studied at the Havana Conservatory of Music and a Cuban government scholarship enabled him to continue his education in Paris. When he was 16, he arrived in the United States, graduated from the Juilliard School of Music and worked as a lounge pianist. During World War II, while he was serving as the musical director for the USO's New York City branch of the USO, he met Jack Paar, and the two remained friends for years. In 1954–55, Melis was the pianist when '' The Morning Show'' on CBS was hosted by Paar. Melis Alphan (Melis Çelebi; born 1978), is a Turkish journalist and author. She is known for her women's rights activism and her fashion journalism. Education Following her graduation from the American Collegiate Institute in İzmir, she studied Fashion at the London College of Fashion from where she earned a BSc. Following she studied for a while at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. In 2001 she returned to Turkey and initiated her journalistic career at the ''Vizyon'' magazine. His most famous films include ''Suyunchi'' (1982), ''Kelinlar qoʻzgʻoloni (film), Kelinlar qoʻzgʻoloni'' (1984), ''Armon (film), Armon'' (1986), and ''Oʻtgan kunlar (film), Oʻtgan kunlar'' (1997).
