Mehul Surti (born 16 November 1977) in an Indian music composer and singer from Surat, Gujarat, India, known for his work in Gujarati cinema and Gujarati theatre. He has composed music for several successful Gujarati films including ''Kevi Rite Jaish'' (2012), ''Vitamin She'' (2017), ''Montu Ni Bittu'' (2019), ''Short Circuit (2019 film), Short Circuit'' (2019), ''Hellaro'' (2019) , ''21mu Tiffin'' (2021), ''Kamthaan'' (2024), and ''Kasoombo'' (2024). Early life He was born on 16 November 1977 to Dhansukhlal Surti, a doctor, and Manjulaben Surti, a teacher. The Gujarat Literature Festival (abbreviated as GLF), also known as ''Gujarati Sahitya Mahotsav'', is a literary festival which takes place annually in the Indian city Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The festival is held generally in December–January. The main aim of the festival is to promote and popularize Gujarati literature through the method of debates, discussions, and workshops. Mewati Gharana
The Mewati gharana is a musical apprenticeship tribe of Hindustani classical music. Known for being Pandit Jasraj's musical lineage, the gharana was founded by brothers Ghagge Nazir Khan and Wahid Khan (beenkar) of Indore in the late 19th century at the Holkar Court. Members of this gharana have had an active influence in Indian cinema for over half a century. With its own distinct aesthetics, stylings, practices, and repertoire, the gharana emerged as an offshoot of the Khandarbani Dhrupad, and Qawwal Bacchon musical traditions. Saumya Joshi (born 3 July 1973) is an Indian poet, writer, playwright, director and actor associated with Gujarati language literature, theatre and films. Jayant Himmatlal Pathak (20 October 1920 – 1 September 2003) was a Gujarati poet and literary critic from Gujarat, India. He was the president of the Gujarati Sahitya Parishad from 1990 – 1991. He received several awards, including the Sahitya Akademi Award, the Kumar Suvarna Chandrak, the Narmad Suvarna Chandrak, the Ranjitram Suvarna Chandrak and the Uma-Snehrashmi Prize. Abbas Abdul Ali Vasi (22 February 1917 – 19 October 1983), known popularly as Mareez, was an Indian poet of Gujarati language, mainly popular for his Ghazals. He is popularly known as '' Ghalib of Gujarat''. He left studies in young age and started working in rubber shoe factory. Narmadashankar Lalshankar Dave () (24 August 1833 – 26 February 1886), popularly known as Narmad, was an Indian Gujarati-language poet, playwright, essayist, orator, lexicographer and reformer under the British Raj.
