Mehrdad Pouladi
Mehrdad Pooladi (, born 26 February 1987) is an Iranian former professional footballer. He was also an Iranian international, where he played as a left back. Pooladi is a utility player, formerly playing as a forward and attacking midfielder in his youth and playing regularly as a full back, defensive midfielder and winger. Club career Esteghlal In August 2007, Pooladi moved from Paykan to Esteghlal as one of the number of young players that were chosen by coach Naser Hejazi. He scored his only goal in Estghlal's 2–1 away at Moghavemat Sepasi. After Hejazi was sacked and replaced with Firouz Karimi, he fell down in the pecking order and eventually left Esteghlal two years after joining the team. 2006 Asian Games
The 2006 Asian Games (), officially known as the XV Asiad or 15th Asian Games (, and commonly known as Doha 2006 (), were an Asian multi-sport event held in Doha, Qatar, from December 1 to 15, 2006, with 424 events in 39 sports featured in the games. Doha was the first city in its region and only the second in West Asia (following Tehran in 1974) to host the games. The city will host the games again in 2030. It was the first time that all 45 member nations of the Olympic Council of Asia took part in this event. Firouz Karimi
Firouz Karimi (, born 13 April 1958) is an Iran, Iranian football Coach (sport), coach and former player. Early life Firouz Karimi was born on 13 April 1958 in Tehran, Iran. Playing career He began playing football in Shahrbani F.C. in 1970 and joined PAS Tehran F.C., Pas Tehran in 1976. He won the Takht Jamshid Cup twice with Pas. He left Pas in 1981 and joined Sarbaz but returned to Pas in 1984. He was also invited to the Iran national football team in 1980 but never played for the national team. He retired in 1984. Nasser Hejazi (Persian: ناصر حجازی, ''nāser hejāzi''; 14 December 1949 – 23 May 2011), nicknamed "the legendary Iranian goalkeeper", was an Iranian football player and coach who most notably played for Esteghlal (Taj). Considered as the best goalkeeper in the history of Iranian football and Asia, he was capped 62 times for the Iran national football team.
