Mehrabpur (), ( Sindhi:محرابپور), is a city in the Naushahro Feroze District in the Sindh province of Pakistan. The city is administratively subdivided into 8 Union Councils. It has a busy railway station on the main railway line between Karachi and Lahore. It is a junction station with a disused branch line to Naushahro Feroze. Train crash On 19 December 2007, at 2:30 am an overcrowded express train traveling from Karachi to Lahore derailed south of Mehrabpur killing over 49 people and injuring two hundreds more. Administratively subdivided into five talukas and 51 union councils, according to of Pakistan it had a population of 1,612,373. Mehrabpur Train Derailment
The Mehrabpur derailment was a fatal railway accident that occurred shortly after 02:00 local time on 19 December 2007 near the town of Mehrabpur in the Sindh province of Pakistan. Incident The train, "Karachi Express", was an express service from Karachi to Lahore, and was packed with passengers returning home for the Eid ul-Adha Islamic holiday. At around 2:25 a.m. local time, fourteen of the train's sixteen carriages left the tracks, some being mangled by the crash, others simply sliding down an embankment into the water. Naushahro Feroze (, ), is the capital city of Naushahro Feroze District in Sindh province of Pakistan. The district is located at 26°50'0N 68°7'0E with an altitude of 38 metres (127 feet). Rajkumar "Raju" Hirani (born 20 November 1962) is an Indian filmmaker known for his works in Hindi films. 2023 Census Of Pakistan
The 2023 Census of Pakistan was the census, detailed enumeration of the Pakistani population and the census in Pakistan, seventh national census in the country. It was conducted by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics. It was also the first ever digital census to be held in Pakistan, including the first in South Asian history. The census was initially held from 1 March 2023 to 1 April 2023. However, enumeration was later extended several times until 30 May 2023, because of incomplete enumeration in large cities such as Karachi, Lahore, and Faisalabad, where people are more mobile and therefore harder to count, and in remote and rural Balochistan, Pakistan, Balochistan. Fixed telephony The area codes in Pakistan consists of two to five digits; generally smaller the city, longer the prefix. All large cities have two-digit codes. The smaller towns might have six digital whereas big cities have seven digit numbers. Azad Kashmir telephone lines contain five digits. On 1 July 2009, telephone numbers in Karachi and Lahore were changed from seven digits to eight digits.
