Md Shamsul Huda is a retired Justice of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court. He formerly served in the High Court Division of the Bangladesh Supreme Court. Career In a verdict by the Bangladesh High Court, which was upheld by Bangladesh Supreme Court, the government of Bangladesh was asked to reappointed 10 judges to the High Court Division whose appointed was not confirmed by the Bangladesh Nationalist Party despite the recommendation of the chief justice as they were appointed to the court by the last Awami League government. The High Court Division, Supreme Court of Bangladesh ( bn, হাইকোর্ট ডিভিশন) popularly known as the 'High Court' is one of the two divisions of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh, the other division being the Appellate Division. Marzi-ul Huq was a Justice of the High Court Division of the Bangladesh Supreme Court. Career In November 2001, Huq and Justice Md Abdul Matin issued an order asking the government to protect the Hindu community, a religious minority, and sought clarification regarding the government's role following a petition by the Ain-O-Salish Kendra. AHM Shamsuddin Chowdhury Manik is a retired judge of the Appellate Division of Bangladesh Supreme Court who gained notoriety for a number of controversial cases.
