Municipality Of Monaco
The Municipality of Monaco (; ) is the only administrative division of the Principality of Monaco, and is coterminous with the state as a whole. It only borders France and it is in Europe. Political order The municipal system is determined by the IX part of the Constitution of Monaco. The Municipality of Monaco has as its organ the Communal Council made up of 15 members, who can also be present at the National Council. A little more than 7,000 Monegasque citizens are voters, while to be elected it is necessary to be 21 years old. Georges Marsan
Georges Marsan (born 20 March 1957) is a Monégasque politician serving as mayor of Monaco since 2003. A member of the Communal Evolution (EC) party, he was first elected to the Communal Council of Monaco in 1991. Marsan is a pharmacist by trade. Early life Georges Marsan was born in 1957. Both his father Gérard and grandfather Antoine were pharmacists. The family pharmacy was established on Rue Grimaldi in 1908. Shortly after, it was relocated to the Place d'Armes in La Condamine. Meanwhile, one of his grandfathers was a neighbourhood mayor who helped write the Constitution of Monaco in 1911 in the wake of the Monégasque Revolution. Marsan graduated from the University of Montpellier in pharmacy in 1979. Career Marsan started his career as a pharmacist in the family business on the Place d'Armes. Anne-Marie Campora (19 November 1938 – 12 November 2015) was a Monegasque politician. Early life and family background Anne-Marie Campora was born in 1938. Her father, Charles Campora, served as the president of AS Monaco FC, the national football club of Monaco. Her twin brother, Jean-Louis Campora, served as the president of AS Monaco FC from 1975 to 2003, and as the president of the National Council from 1993 to 2003. Career Campona served as the mayor of Monaco from 1991 to 2003. She was the first and only woman to serve as the mayor of Monaco. Death Campora died on 12 November 2015. Her funeral was held at the Saint-Charles Church in Monaco.
