''Mayooranritham'' () is a 1996 Indian Malayalam-language romantic drama film, directed by Vijayakrishnan. The film stars Mohini, Kumarakam Raghunath, Vikram, Madhupal and Beena Antony in the lead roles. The film has musical score by G. Devarajan. Plot Ragini's wedding is negatively affected when her boyfriend's family learns that her mother is a prostitute. Vijayakrishnan is an Indian film critic, film historian and director born in 1952 in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala He has received eight State Awards, one National Award, and two Critics Awards. Committee member Vijayakrishnan was a member of the Kerala State Film Award Committee and National Award Committee on multiple occasions. He was also a member of the Indian Panorama Selection Committee for Filmotsav 1986. Vijayakrishna served as a member of the Indian Central Board for Film Certification for 8 years, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, and former Director Board Member of Kerala State Film Development Corporation. Azeez (actor)
Azeez (27 November 1934 – 16 July 2003) was an Indian actor in Malayalam cinema. He acted in more than 100 films. He came into the movie industry as a villain, and later, he started doing character roles, such as police officer, jailer, and minister. He was a Deputy superintendent, Deputy superintendent (D.Y.S.P) in Kerala Police. He was a member of K.P.A.C. (Kerala People's Arts Club), which was a prominent leftist drama troupe in Kerala. Thus he got famous as "K.P.A.C Azeez". Family Azeez was born and raised in the village of Thekkadda near Vembayam in Thiruvananthapuram district in Kerala, India. Madhupal Kannambathu is an Indian actor, director, and screenwriter who works in Malayalam cinema. Madhupal made his acting debut with '' Kashmeeram'' in 1994 and his directorial debut with '' Thalappavu'' (2008), which was about Arikkad Varghese and won several awards in 2008. Adoor Pankajam (1925 – 26 June 2010) was an Indian actress, in Malayalam movies. She hailed from Adoor in Pathanamthitta district of Kerala state. Mainly, she was a supporting actress and a comedian. Her sister Adoor Bhavani was also a Malayalam cinema actress. Pankajam's most noted performance was in the national award winning film '' Chemmeen'' as "Nalla Pennu". She also did a pivotal role in India's first neo-realistic film '' Newspaper Boy'' (1955). In 2008, Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Academy honoured Pankajam and Bhavani for their overall contributions to theatre and drama. She died at the age of 85 on 26 June 2010.
