Maxime Bernier (; born January 18, 1963) is a Canadian politician who is the founder and leader of the People's Party of Canada (PPC). Formerly a member of the Conservative Party of Canada, Conservative Party, Bernier left the caucus in 2018 to form the PPC. He was the Member of Parliament (Canada), member of Parliament (MP) for Beauce (electoral district), Beauce from 2006 to 2019 and served as a Cabinet minister in the 28th Canadian Ministry, Harper government. Maxime Weygand (; 21 January 1867 – 28 January 1965) was a French military commander in World War I and World War II, as well as a high ranking member of the Vichy France, Vichy regime. Born in Belgium, Weygand was raised in France and educated at the École spéciale militaire de Saint-Cyr, Saint-Cyr military academy in Paris. A member of the Christian Democratic Appeal (CDA), he served as Deputy Prime Minister of the Netherlands from 2010 to 2012 under Prime Minister Mark Rutte.
