Max Walker (born 12 July 2001) is a British cyclist who rides for UCI Continental team . He was runner-up at the British National Time Trial Championships in 2024. Career In 2022, he had a top ten finish in the men’s under-23 time trial at the British National Road Race Championships. Riding for he finished fifth at the Cicle Classic and the Ronde de l'Isard. In 2023, he signed for after three years at Trinity Racing. He finished second at the 2023 British National Time Trial Championships U23 race. At the same event he also finished third in the Under-23 men's road race. In August 2023, he placed ninth in the Men's under-23 road race at the 2023 UCI Road World Championships in Glasgow. In February 2024, he signed for . He won two stage victories and finished fourth in the points standings during the Tour of Japan in May 2024. Sibiu Cycling Tour
The Sibiu Cycling Tour (Cycling Tour of Sibiu until 2015) is a 2.1 category professional bicycle road race held in Sibiu, Romania. Its first edition took place in July 2011, as part of the UCI Europe Tour. The race is organised with the support of the local council as well as the regional council of Sibiu. Held entirely around the city, the race normally runs over four days including a prologue on the cobbled streets of the city, and two climbing stages, one on the Transfăgărăşan Road to Bâlea Lac and a second to the mountain resort of Păltiniș. An individual time trial (ITT) is a road bicycle race in which cyclists race alone against the clock (in French: ''contre la montre'' – literally "against the watch", in Italian: ''tappa a cronometro'' " stopwatch stage"). There are also track-based time trials where riders compete in velodromes, and team time trials (TTT). Beaumont Trophy
The Beaumont Trophy is a cycle road race first run in 1952. The Trophy was presented to the Gosforth Road Club by Rex Beaumont who was a local cycle wholesaler on Tyneside. The Gosforth Road Club had been created in July 1951 as an offshoot of the Ridley Cycling Club as a result of young riders being unable to gain entry into local races. The race was run under BLRC Regulations from 1952 until 1959 when it came under the regulations of the newly formed British Cycling Federation. It was run continuously from 1952 to 2019, as the 2020 edition was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the UK. This 67 year streak made it the longest-running road race in the UK. In the early 1950s the race started and finished in Gosforth Park where the clubhouse was situated. In the early '60s, the start/finish moved to Ponteland because of an increase in traffic.
