2024 ZLM Tour
The 2024 ZLM Tour is the 35th edition of the ZLM Tour cycling stage race. It started on 5 June in Westkapelle and will end on 9 June in Oosterhout and is part of the 2024 UCI Europe Tour. 2024 UCI Europe Tour
The 2024 UCI Europe Tour is the 20th season of the UCI Europe Tour. Throughout the season, points are being awarded to the top finishers of stages within stage races and the final general classification standings of each of the stages races and one-day events. The quality and complexity of a race also determined how many points were awarded to the top finishers, the higher the UCI rating of a race, the more points were awarded. Time Trial
In many racing sports, an athlete (or occasionally a team of athletes) will compete in a time trial against the clock to secure the fastest time. The format of a time trial can vary, but usually follow a format where each athlete or team sets off at a predetermined interval to set the fastest time on a course. Variation in sports Cycling In cycling, for example, a time trial (TT) can be a single track cycling event, or an individual or team time trial on the road, and either or both of the latter may form components of multi-day stage races. In contrast to other types of races, athletes race alone since they are sent out in intervals (interval starts), as opposed to a mass start. Stage 5
Stage 5 (or, originally, "Stage V") is an unofficial stage at the Walnut Valley Festival, an annual bluegrass festival in Winfield, Kansas, United States. Set up in the Pecan Grove campground, the informal stage began in 1987 when camper Russell Brace and friends built it on the back of a 1954 Chevrolet 4100 1-1/2 ton flatbed truck. The stage is so-named because the festival proper has four main stages. The stage was immediately popular and is now a cherished tradition at the annual event. Audiences at Stage 5 can usually expect to hear typical acoustic string instruments. However, many musicians, while there, part from traditional bluegrass styles and emphasize a looser, more rock-oriented interpretation of roots music. Several notables have played Stage 5. Wissenkerke
Wissenkerke is a village in the Dutch province of Zeeland. It is a part of the municipality of Noord-Beveland, and lies about 20 km northeast of Middelburg. History The village was first mentioned in 1230 as Wiscenkerke, and means "(private) church of Wisce". The original village was lost in the Saint Felix Flood of 1530. Only the church tower remained standing for several decades as a marker of the drowned village. A new settlement appeared after the polder was enclosed by a dike in 1652. In 1697, the Thoornpolder was diked resulting the loss of the harbour. The Dutch Reformed church is an aisleless church which was built in 1969 to replace the church was from 1827. In 1860, the wind mill De Onderneming was built and the wind mill Landzicht followed in 1869. In 1816, the village of Kampensnieuwland was merged into Wissenkerke.
