Malung
Malung is a locality and the seat of Malung-Sälen Municipality, Dalarna County, Sweden, with 5,126 inhabitants as of 2010. Overview Malung is home to Malungs Folkhögskola, two kilometers south of the town centre. Specialized courses include folk music, dance, mountaineering, blacksmithing and health. Malung is also where the first DreamHack event took place. In the 29th week of every year, Malung is host to Svenska dansbandsveckan, an annual dance festival that regularly brings over 3000 caravans as well as more than 80 performing bands to the community. Every year around 50,000 tickets are sold. History The oldest written source mentioning Malung is the Sverre Saga from the 13th Century. The mill wheel manufacturing in the area is supposed to be centuries older than that. The history of Malung as a village or settlement precedes local recorded history. Carl Andreas Prytz (born 7 December 1972) is a Swedish curler (look for "Prytz, Andreas") and curling coach. He is a 2012 Swedish men's champion, a 2009 Swedish mixed doubles champion and a 2003 Swedish mixed champion. Swedish Mixed Curling Championship
The Swedish Mixed Curling Championship ( sv, Svenska mästerskap i curling för mixed, SM lag mixed) is the national championship of mixed curling (two men and two women) in Sweden. It has been held annually since 1968. (web archive; champions from 1968 to 2007) Rules changing Before the 1989–90 season, the team line-up could be "free" (not necessarily "two men and two women" but "four players of any gender"). In the 1989–90 and 1990–91 seasons all four players had to have represented one curling club. Beginning with the 1991–92 season, a minimum two players must be from the same curling club.
