Malung
Malung is a locality and the seat of Malung-Sälen Municipality, Dalarna County, Sweden, with 5,126 inhabitants as of 2010. Overview Malung is home to Malungs Folkhögskola, two kilometers south of the town centre. Specialized courses include folk music, dance, mountaineering, blacksmithing and health. Malung is also where the first DreamHack event took place. In the 29th week of every year, Malung is host to Svenska dansbandsveckan, an annual dance festival that regularly brings over 3000 caravans as well as more than 80 performing bands to the community. Anna Cervin (curler)
Anna Kristina Cervin (27 May 1878 in Holmedal, Sweden – 1972) was a Swedish artist, primarily known for her painting work. Early life Cervin was the daughter of August Cervin and Emma Brattén. Career and artistic style She studied at the Royal Swedish Academy of Arts in Stockholm between 1898 and 1903, at the Académie Colarossi in Paris between 1903 and 1904, and at the Harriet Backer School in Oslo between 1907 and 1908. She worked in Sweden. At first she mainly painted still life portraits and landscape paintings, mostly with oil. She became known for her skill copying family portraits and older paintings. She was featured in several Swedish artists' exhibitions and in the exhibition ''Fem målarinnor'' in Värmlands Museum in 1948, and at Lund University's art exhibition in 1919. With the Hasselborg rink, she won the gold medal in women's curling at the 2018 Winter Olympics. The Swedish Mixed Curling Championship ( sv, Svenska mästerskap i curling för mixed, SM lag mixed) is the national championship of mixed curling (two men and two women) in Sweden. It has been held annually since 1968.
