Massay () is a commune in the Cher department in the Centre-Val de Loire region of France. Geography An area of farming and forestry, comprising the village and several hamlets, the commune is situated by the banks of the river Garreau some south of Vierzon, at the junction of the A20 and the D75 roads. A20 Autoroute
The A20 autoroute or L'Occitane is a highway through central France. A part of France's national network of autoroutes, it is long. Regions Crossed The road travels through the areas of Occitania, Limousin and Midi-Pyrénées. It starts at Vierzon in Cher and finishes in the south at Montauban in Tarn-et-Garonne. However further sections between Orléans and Vierzon ( A71) and Montauban-Toulouse ( A62) could be renamed the A20 in the not too distant future. Simon-Jérôme Bourlet De Vauxcelles
Simon-Jérôme Bourlet, abbé de Vauxcelles (; 11 August 1733 – 18 March 1802) was an 18th-century French priest and journalist during the French Revolution. Biography Born in Versailles, he was a preacher of the king, canon of Noyon, reader for the Comte d'Artois, curator of the bibliothèque de l'Arsenal (1787), abbot of Massay. He preached successfully and worked, among others, at the ''Mercure de France'', and the ''Journal de Paris''. Like others, he was a victim of the repressive policies of the French Directory against journalists, and a decree dated 17 January (28 Nivose) ordered his deportation to Oléron. We have some eulogies and some funeral orations by him, but he is best known for his edition of the ''Lettres de Mme de Sévigné'', Paris, 1801, 10 volumes in-12°.
