Marcus & Martinus, occasionally known as M&M, are a Norwegian dance-pop duo consisting of identical twin brothers Marcus and Martinus Gunnarsen (born 21 February 2002). They have released four studio albums: '' Hei'', ''Together'', '' Moments'' and ''Unforgettable''. Since winning Melodi Grand Prix Junior in 2012, they have won numerous prizes, such as Spellemannprisen in 2017. Martinus Thomsen, referred to as Martinus, (11 August 1890 – 8 March 1981) was a Danish people, Danish author. Born into a poor family and with a limited education, Martinus claimed to have had a profound Spirituality, spiritual experience in March 1921. This experience, which he called "cosmic consciousness", would be the inspiration for the books he wrote later which are collectively entitled ''The Third Testament''. Some of his works have been translated into twenty languages, and while he is not well known internationally, his work remains popular in Denmark and in other parts of Scandinavia. Martinus Sieveking (March 24, 1867 – November 26, 1950) was a Dutch virtuoso pianist, composer, Piano teacher, teacher and inventor born in Amsterdam. Also known as Martin Sieveking, he performed as a Solo (music), soloist around Europe] and the United States during his active career and taught in France and the U.S. after he retired from performing. He is sometimes referred to as ''The Flying Dutchman'' due to his Dutch heritage and extremely flighty nature. Martinus Rørbye
Martinus Christian Wesseltoft Rørbye (; 17 May 1803 – 29 August 1848) was a Danish painter, known both for genre works and landscapes. He was a central figure of the Golden Age of Danish painting during the first half of the 19th century. The most traveled of the Danish Golden Age painters, he traveled both north to Norway and Sweden and south to Italy, Greece and Constantinople. He was also the first Danish painter to take to painting in Skagen at the northern top of Jutland, almost half a century before the thriving community of Skagen Painters formed and came to fame, through Michael Ancher, Anna Ancher and P.S. Martinus () or Marinus (; died possibly in 641) was of the Byzantine Empire from to 641. Martinus was the fifth son of Emperor Heraclius and Empress Martina (empress), Martina, who was Avunculate marriage, Heraclius' second wife and niece. Martinus was elevated to , a junior imperial title that placed him on the line of succession, at some point between 638 and 640 by his father. Martinus Nijhoff (20 April 1894, in The Hague – 26 January 1953, in The Hague) was a Dutch poet and essayist. He studied literature in Amsterdam and law in Utrecht. His debut was in 1916 with his volume ''De wandelaar'' ('The Wanderer'). He then gradually expanded his reputation by his unique style of poetry: not experimental, like Paul van Ostaijen, yet distinguished by the clarity of his language combined with mystical content. Martinus Gosia was one of the glossators and a 12th-century Italian jurist, counted among the Four Doctors of Bologna, the others being Bulgarus, Hugo de Porta Ravennate and Jacobus de Boragine. Martinus Gosia and Bulgarus were the chiefs of two opposite schools at the University of Bologna, corresponding in many respects to the Proculians and Sabinians of the Roman Empire. Martinus was at the head of a school which accommodated the law to what his opponents styled the equity of the purse (''aequitas bursalis''), whilst Bulgarus adhered more closely to the letter of the law. The school of Bulgarus ultimately prevailed. While the teaching of Bulgarus, became dominant in Bologna, among the ''nostri doctores'', the followers of Martinus, taught in southern France where they became known as the commentators.
