Martin Andermatt
Martin Andermatt (born 21 November 1961) is a Swiss football manager and a former player who is an assistant coach with Basel. Club career The trained teacher began his career as player with SC Zug, FC Baar, FC Emmenbrücke, and Wettingen. After this followed assignments as professional with FC Basel and later Grasshopper Club Zürich. Andermatt joined Basel's first team for their 1983–84 season under head coach Ernst-August Künnecke. After playing in nine test games Andermatt played his domestic league debut for his new club in the away game in the Stadio Comunale on 10 August 1983 as Basel were defeated 2–4 by Bellinzona. He scored his first goal for the club just three days later, on 13 August in the home game in the St. Jakob Stadium. It was the fourth goal of the game as Basel won 5–2 against Luzern. FC Emmenbrücke
FC Emmenbrücke are a Swiss football team with its home in the city of Emmen, currently playing in the Swiss 1. Liga (football), the fourth highest tier in the Swiss football pyramid. The club was formed in 1921. Their best result in the younger history was the 4th position in the Swiss 1. Liga at the end of the 2008/2009 season. History FC Emmenbrücke was founded in 1921 in the area of Littau with the idea of separating from an already existing football club in Emmen. Yellow and black were chosen as the club colours in reference to BSC Young Boys. The main problem was finding a suitable playing field. Ernst-August Künnecke
Ernst-August Künnecke (born 3 January 1938 – 16 March 2002) was a German football player and football coach. Career Künnecke played his youth football with Hannover 96. He advanced and played at amateur level. In 1960 he became amateur champion with Hannover 96. Künnecke remained amateur, but his playing career did not last long. He moved to VfV Hildesheim and later to SV Arminia Hannover, before returning to Hannover 96. In 1967 Künnecke started his coaching career with SC Tuttlingen, a small amateur club in the south of the Black Forest. In 1969 he signed as head coach for Patro Eisden in Belgium. Afterwards, Künnecke moved to second division Racing Mechelen and won the title and were promoted in the 1974–75 season, but were relegated a year later. 1983–84 FC Basel Season
The Fussball Club Basel 1893 1983–84 season was their 90th season since the club was founded. It was their 38th consecutive season in the top flight of Swiss football after they won promotion during the season 1945–46. They played their home games in the St. Jakob Stadium.
