Marko Jelić
Marko Jelić (born 15 March 1976) is a Croatian politician and university professor who is serving as prefect of Šibenik-Knin County since 2021. He previously served as Mayor of Knin from 2017 to 2021. Early life and education Born in Knin in 1976, Jelić finished elementary school and the first two grades of high school in his native town, while in 1994 he completed the final two grades at the Juraj Baraković High School in Zadar. In 2000 he graduated in Molecular Biology at the Faculty of Science of the University of Zagreb, earning the title of Bachelor of Science. In 2003 he received his PhD in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry from the University of Kiel and Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. Stipe Petrina (born 5 October 1954) is a Croatian politician serving his sixth term as Mayor of Primošten. He is known for his controversial public appearances and statements, and has been described as enfant terrible of Croatian politics. Biography He was born in Primošten. After finishing primary school in 1969 in Primošten, he went to Zagreb to study engineering, graduating high school in 1974. The Croatian Democratic Union (, , HDZ) is a major conservative, centre-right political party in Croatia.
