Mark Russell (born 1971) is an American author and comic book writer. Books Russell is the author of ''God Is Disappointed in You'' (Top Shelf Productions, 2013), a modern retelling of the Bible with cartoons by ''The New Yorker'' cartoonist Shannon Wheeler. He also wrote ''Apocrypha Now'', a book about non-canonical Christian and Jewish texts. Comics In 2015, Russell wrote a reboot of the 1973–74 comic ''Prez (DC Comics), Prez'' (Issues 1–6, DC Comics), drawn by Ben Caldwell (cartoonist), Ben Caldwell, which features a teenage president of the United States. Steve Pugh ( ; born 24 March 1966) is a British comic book artist who has worked for American and British comic producers including DC Comics, DC, Marvel Comics, Marvel, Dark Horse Comics, Dark Horse and ''2000 AD (comic), 2000 AD''. He broke into the industry in the early 1990s working on ''Hellblazer'' at DC's Vertigo studio. He is known for doing both pencil art and inking on issues. He has worked on both sides of the Atlantic and has worked for all of the major studios on a variety of titles including ''Blade'', ''Doctor Strange'', ''JLA'', and ''X-Men''. Richard Pace
Richard Pace (c. 148228 June 1536) was an English clergyman and diplomat of the Tudor period. Life He was born in Hampshire and educated at Winchester College under Thomas Langton. He attended the universities of Padua and Oxford. In 1509, he accompanied Cardinal Christopher Bainbridge, Archbishop of York, to Rome, and he remained in the service of the Archbishop until that man's death by poisoning in 1514; he was instrumental in bringing the murderer to justice. Second Coming (comic Book Series)
''Second Coming'' is a religious satire comic book series written and illustrated by Mark Russell and Richard Pace. The series was originally going to be published by Vertigo Comics, an imprint of DC Comics, but after criticism from conservative and Christian news outlets as well as a petition the series was canceled and the rights were returned to Russell. The series was later published in March 2020 by Ahoy Comics and was followed by two sequels titled ''Second Coming: Only Begotten Son'' and ''Second Coming: Trinity''. The GLAAD Media Award is a US accolade bestowed by GLAAD to recognize and honor various branches of the media for their outstanding portrayals of LGBTQ people and the issues that affect their lives. In addition to film and television, the Awards also recognize achievements in other branches of the media and arts, including theatre, music, journalism and advertising.
