Mark McCullough is an American lighting designer. He is an alumnus of the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, North Carolina School of the Arts and holds a Master of Fine Arts degree from the David Geffen School of Drama at Yale University, Yale School of Drama. Career While specializing in opera lighting, McCullough also designed in other areas. Broadway productions include After Miss Julie, The American Plan, and Jesus Christ Superstar (revival, Broadway and U.K. tour). His creations have also been seen Off-Broadway and in regional theater companies worldwide: Whistle Down the Wind (1996 musical), Whistle Down the Wind (Aldwych Theatre, London); Webster's The White Devil and Schiller's Don Carlos (Royal Shakespeare Company); Wendy Wasserstein’s Old Money at Vivian Beaumont Theater, Lincoln Center Theatre; How I Learned to Drive and The Long Christmas Ride Home by Paula Vogel. The University of North Carolina School of the Arts (UNCSA) is a public art school in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. It grants a high school diploma, in addition to both undergraduate and graduate degrees. Founded in 1963 as the North Carolina School of the Arts by then-Governor Terry Sanford, it was the first public arts conservatory in the United States.
