Aleksandar "Aleks" Marić (Serbian Cyrillic: Александар "Алекс" Марић; born 22 October 1984) is an Australian-Serbian former professional basketball player. Marić gained a reputation as a winner over the course of his successful European career, securing contracts with several basketball powerhouse outfits. Igor Marić (born 23 July 1985) is a Croatian professional basketball player currently playing for Keflavík of the Úrvalsdeild karla. Standing at 1.96 m, he plays at the small forward position. Alisa Marić, PhD ( sr-Cyrl, Алиса Марић, ; born 10 January 1970) is a Serbian chess player who holds the FIDE titles of Woman Grandmaster (WGM) and International Master (IM). On 27 July 2012, she was elected as Minister of Youth and Sports in the Government of Serbia and held that position until 2 September 2013. Enver Marić
Enver Marić (born 16 April 1948) is a Bosnian former professional football goalkeeper and retired football manager. He is widely considered to be one of the greatest goalkeepers from the former Yugoslavia of all time. Club career Marić started his career playing for hometown club Velež Mostar from 1967 to 1976, for who he played a record 600 games in his nine-year stint. Ljubica Marić (Љубица Марић , 18 March 1909 – 17 September 2003) was a composer from Yugoslavia. She was a pupil of Josip Štolcer-Slavenski. She was known for being inspired by Byzantine Empire, Byzantine Eastern Orthodox Church, Orthodox church music.
