Marion Road
Marion Road is a north–south arterial road through the western suburbs of Adelaide, South Australia, named after its traversal through the suburb of Marion and the local government area of City of Marion. It is designated part of route A14. Route Where it terminates in Bedford Park, southwest of Adelaide's centre, Marion Road feeds into the Southern Expressway near the northern starting point of that road. At its northern end, Marion Road terminates at Henley Beach Road. Route A14 continues west on Henley Beach Road for about 250 metres. It then travels north along the entire length of Holbrooks Road. At Grange Road it take a 50-metre dog leg to the east. It then continues north along the entire length of East Avenue until it ends at Port Road. Underdale, South Australia
Underdale is a western suburb of South Australia's capital city Adelaide on Kaurna land. It sits between Henley Beach Road and the River Torrens. It is largely residential with a very small industrial section on the eastern side of Holbrook's Road near the river. Underdale High School sits within the suburb; its Alumnus, alumni include cricket player David Hookes and Australian soccer player Tony Vidmar. Australian Bureau of Statistics data from May 2021 identified Adelaide's western suburbs as having the lowest unemployment rate in South Australia. Glenelg Tram Line
The Glenelg tram line is a tram/light rail line in Adelaide. Apart from a short street-running section in Glenelg, the line has its own reservation, with minimal interference from road traffic. The service is free in the city centre and along the route to the Adelaide Entertainment Centre in Hindmarsh. The service is also free along the length of Jetty Road, Glenelg to Moseley Square. Three routes in total operate on the network: Glenelg to the Royal Adelaide Hospital with select peak services that continue to the Adelaide Entertainment Centre; Glenelg to the Adelaide Festival Centre, which operates only on weekends and Adelaide Oval event days; and the Adelaide Entertainment Centre to the Adelaide Botanic Garden. City Of Onkaparinga
The City of Onkaparinga () is a local government area (LGA) located on the southern fringe of Adelaide, South Australia. It is named after the Onkaparinga River, whose name comes from ''Ngangkiparinga'', a Kaurna word meaning women's river. Sturt River
The Sturt River, also known as the Sturt Creek and ''Warri Parri'' (''Warriparri'') in the Kaurna language, is a river located in the Adelaide region of the Australian state of South Australia. Course and features The Sturt River rises in Upper Sturt in the Adelaide Hills, it flows through Coromandel Valley, the Sturt Gorge Recreation Park, Marion and Morphettville, before meeting the Patawalonga River in Glenelg North. The City of West Torrens is a local government area in the western suburbs of Adelaide, South Australia. Since the 1970s, the area was mainly home to many open spaces and parks, however after the mid-1990s (1993–1995) the LGA became more residential. Greenhill Road
Greenhill Road is a major road in Adelaide, South Australia, that provides a connection to the eastern and hills suburbs. Its western section, running along the south side of Adelaide Parklands, forms part of Adelaide's City Ring Route. Route The eastern end of Greenhill Road is in Balhannah in the Adelaide Hills. It winds through Carey Gully, Uraidla, Summertown and Greenhill as a two-lane road. In the metropolitan area, it is four lanes and passes by the City of Burnside suburbs of Burnside, Hazelwood Park, Linden Park, Tusmore, Toorak Gardens, Dulwich and Glenside until it reaches the edge of the Adelaide Parklands. Daws Road
Daws Road is a major arterial road in the central southern suburbs of Adelaide. It runs east–west between Marion Road in the west and Goodwood Road in the east. Pasadena High School and the Repatriation Hospital are on Daws Road. Route Daws Road starts at the intersection with Oaklands Road and Marion Road in Ascot Park. It heads east as a four-lane, dual-carriageway road. It goes underneath the railway bridges of the Seaford railway line, then crosses the Flinders railway line a short distance further east. ABC Radio Adelaide
ABC Radio Adelaide (call sign: 5AN) is the ABC Local Radio station for Adelaide. It is broadcast at 891 kHz on the AM band, on DAB digital radio and on the ABC Listen app. It is also available on Digital TV on channel 25 in Adelaide. History 5AN started transmitting on 15 October 1937 with equipment located in the central telephone exchange, and a radio mast located in Post Office Place. The station transmitter moved to Brooklyn Park, already the site of 5CL's transmitter, on 4 May 1944. The radio mast was moved from the east side of the building to the south side in 1952 to make way for a road to the projected new airport.
