Mario Vasilj
Mario Vasilj (born 23 December 1983) is a Swedish retired football central defender. He is the head coach of Östers IF's U21 team and assistant manager of the club's first team. Playing career Vasilj joined Östers IF in 2006 from amateur side Rydaholms GoIF. During Östers successful 2010 campaign to win Division 1 Södra, he played every single minute of the season up until the 23rd round, when he tore a PCL. After 12 long years, Vasilj finally left Östers IF after the 2018 season. Coaching career After a season with Rydaholms GoIF in 2019, Vasilj decided to retire at the end of the year. Östers IF
Östers Idrottsförening, commonly known as Östers IF or simply Öster, is a Swedish sports club located in Växjö, specializing in Association football, football. For the 2025 Allsvenskan, 2025 season the club is back in the top tier, Allsvenskan, after achieving promotion from Superettan in 2024 Superettan, 2024. Posterior Cruciate Ligament
The posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) is a ligament in each knee of humans and various other animals. It works as a counterpart to the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL). It connects the posterior intercondylar area of the tibia to the Medial condyle of femur, medial condyle of the femur. This configuration allows the PCL to resist forces pushing the tibia posteriorly relative to the femur. The PCL and ACL are intracapsular ligaments because they lie deep within the knee joint. They are both isolated from the fluid-filled synovial cavity, with the synovial membrane wrapped around them. The PCL gets its name by attaching to the posterior portion of the tibia. Superettan Players
Superettan (; ) is an association football league and the second highest league in the league system of Swedish men's football. Contested by 16 clubs, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with Allsvenskan and Division 1. Seasons run from April to October, with teams playing 30 matches each, totalling 240 matches in the season. The league was created in 2000. The second tier of Swedish football had previously consisted of a varying number of regionalized leagues operating under the Division 2 (1924–1986) and Division 1 (1987–1999) names. Competition format There are 16 clubs in Superettan.
