Mario He (Born 3 August 1993, Rankweil, Austria) is an Austrian professional pool player. He is a former winner of the European Pool Championships, and winner of both the 2017 and 2019 World Cup of Pool events alongside Albin Ouschan. Career He has won six Euro Tour events, the first in 2016, at the North Cyprus Open 2016, and later the 2017 Austrian Open, and in 2018 both the 2018 Veldhoven Open, and 2018 Klagenfurt Open, and 2019 Veldhoven Open and 2022 Italian Open. With six victories overall, He is in the top 6 winners of Euro Tour events. He was set to represent Europe for the first time at the 2018 Mosconi Cup, however, he withdrew from the team, due to a failed drugs test. Having previously reached the final of the 9-ball 2011 European Pool Championships, He won the 2012 European Pool Championships in 8-Ball defeating Artem Koschowyj of the Ukraine in the final. Nine-ball (sometimes written 9-ball) is a discipline of the cue sport pool. The game's origins are traceable to the 1920s in the United States. It is played on a rectangular billiard table with at each of the four corners and in the middle of each long side. 2018 Klagenfurt Open
The Dynamic Billard Klagenfurt Open 2018 (sometimes known as the 2018 Austrian Open) was the fifth and penultimate Euro Tour 9-Ball pool event in 2018. The event was won by Austria's Mario He who defeated England's Mark Gray (pool player), Mark Gray 9–8 in the final. This was He's 4th championship, and second of the Euro Tour season - having already won the 2018 Veldhoven Open. Ralf Souquet was the defending champion, after having won the 2017 Klagenfurt Open, but lost matches to Kim Laaksonen and Maksim Dudanets in the double elimination round. Tournament format The event saw a total of 193 players compete, in a double-elimination knockout tournament, until the last 32 stage; where the tournament was contested as single elimination. World Cup Of Pool
The World Cup of Pool is an annual international single-elimination tournament for doubles teams in nine-ball pool competition. The event has been dominated by the Philippines and China, with both nations winning the event on three occasions. History The tournament is held annually, at various locations, and was first held in 2006 in Newport, Wales. The tournament is hosted by Matchroom Pool. Format There are usually 32 participating teams, representing 31 nations (the host nation is represented by two teams, A and B) composed of two players each. The participating nations do not have to go through a qualifying tournament in order to join, as they are selected by the organizers. As of 2022, Van Boening is the number 1 ranked player in the "World Rankings" published by the Matchroom Pool and the "WPA Rankings" published by the World Pool-Billiard Association. The 2011 European Pool Championships was a series of professional pool (billiards), pool championships that took place at the Steel Palace, in Brandenburg, Germany. 2018 Mosconi Cup
The 2018 Mosconi Cup, (also known as Mosconi Cup XXV) was the 25th edition of the annual nine-ball pool competition between teams representing Europe and the United States. It took place between 4–7 December 2018 at the Alexandra Palace in London, England and was sponsored by partypoker. The reigning champions were team Europe, who had won the last eight cups, including the 2017 Mosconi Cup 11–4. The event was played with teams of 5, decided by captains, and also performances in the tour. The team's non-playing captains were the same as the previous year: Marcus Chamat for Europe and Johan Ruijsink for the United States.
