2018 Klagenfurt Open
The Dynamic Billard Klagenfurt Open 2018 (sometimes known as the 2018 Austrian Open) was the fifth and penultimate Euro Tour 9-Ball pool event in 2018. The event was won by Austria's Mario He who defeated England's Mark Gray (pool player), Mark Gray 9–8 in the final. This was He's 4th championship, and second of the Euro Tour season - having already won the 2018 Veldhoven Open. Ralf Souquet was the defending champion, after having won the 2017 Klagenfurt Open, but lost matches to Kim Laaksonen and Maksim Dudanets in the double elimination round. Tournament format The event saw a total of 193 players compete, in a double-elimination knockout tournament, until the last 32 stage; where the tournament was contested as single elimination. Prize fund The tournament prize fund was similar to that of other Euro Tour events, with Euro, €4,500 for the winner of the event. Roman Hybler
Roman Hybler (born 27 December 1977 in Liberec, Czech Republic) is a Czech professional pool player. Hybler is most well known for winning the ''2002 German Open'' Euro Tour event. Career Hybler took up pool aged 12. His first club was the ''PBC Woodstock Germering''; later he moved to ''PBC Olympics Munich'', for which he won several titles at the German Junior Championships. In 2001, Hybler entered his first international tournament, as a part of the Euro Tour, and a year later won his only Tour championship, the ''2002 German Open'', defeating Klaus Zobrekis in the final. The same year, Hybler also entered his first world championship, the 2002 WPA World Nine-ball Championship reaching the knockout round, finishing 33rd. Niels Feijen (born 3 February 1977, The Hague) is a Dutch professional pool player, from the Hague. His nickname is "the Terminator". In 2014 he won the WPA World 9-ball championship. Career In 2001, Feijen reached the finals of a nine-ball tournament in Tokyo, Japan. The event had a field of more than 700 players and offered the largest prize money at that time.
