Marco Silvani
Marco Silvani is a fictional character from the Australian soap opera ''Neighbours'', played by Jesse Rosenfeld. He made his first on-screen appearance on 19 October 2007. Marco began a relationship with a pregnant Carmella Cammeniti, which caused tensions between himself and the baby's father, Oliver Barnes. Marco later asked Carmella to marry him and on the same day, he was injured in a bush fire. Marco died from his injuries shortly after and he departed on-screen on 2 July 2008. Character development Rosenfeld was cast in the role of Marco Silvani, an "Italian heartthrob". The character of Marco was brought in to "spice up Carmella's love life". Jesse Rosenfeld (born 17 October 1983) is an Australian stage, television and film actor, best known for playing Marco Silvani on the soap opera ''Neighbours''. Biography Jesse was born in Melbourne, Australia, but spent much of his childhood in Cairns. At the age of twelve, whilst living in Cairns, Jesse landed the role of Danny Tippler in Bruce Beresford's motion picture ''Paradise Road (1997 film), Paradise Road'' and found himself spending several months working alongside such actors as Frances McDormand, Glenn Close, Pauline Collins, Pamela Rabe, Elizabeth Spriggs and relative newcomer Cate Blanchett. Ian Smith (born 19 June 1938) is an Australian former actor, television producer and screenwriter. Smith is best known for his television roles most especially his lengthy tenure on serial ''Neighbours'' as Harold Bishop from 1987 until 1991, he returned as a regular again in 1996 and left in 2009, though has returned in guest parts in 2011, 2015, 2022, 2023 and 2024-2025 respectively.
