Marco Rosa
Marco Rosa (born January 15, 1982) is a Canadian-born Italian professional ice hockey center who plays currently for Asiago of the Alps Hockey League. He was born in Scarborough, Ontario. Playing career Rosa began his career by spending two seasons playing for the Wexford Raiders of the OPJHL. He then attended Merrimack College from 2000 to 2004. He was drafted in the 8th round of the 2001 NHL Entry Draft (255th overall) by the Dallas Stars. Although his Junior season with Merrimack was cut short after his wrist was broken in a victory over Boston College in February 2003, as a Senior he rebounded to lead the team with 15 goals scored. Since graduating, he has played seven seasons in the ECHL and AHL. In the 2009–10 season, Rosa led the Manitoba Moose in scoring with 55 points. Ontario Junior Hockey League
The Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL) is a Junior A ice hockey league in Ontario, Canada. It is under the supervision of the Ontario Hockey Association (OHA) and the Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL). The league dates back to 1954 where it began as the "Central Junior B Hockey League". In 1993, the Central Junior B Hockey League was promoted to the Junior A level and renamed the "Ontario Provincial Junior A Hockey League". In 2009, the league was dissolved by the Ontario Hockey Association and split into two leagues: the "Central Canadian Hockey League" and the "Ontario Junior A Hockey League". The Liiga, colloquially called the Finnish Elite League in English or FM-ligan in Swedish, is the top professional ice hockey league in Finland. The league comprises 16 teams from all around Finland with relegation and promotion between the Mestis. The winner of the Liiga playoffs is awarded the Kanada-malja at the end of each season. The ECHL (formerly the East Coast Hockey League) is a minor professional ice hockey league based in Shrewsbury, New Jersey, with teams across the United States and Canada.
