Marco Fainello
Marco Fainello (born 12 September 1964) is an Italian engineer. Early life Born in Verona, Fainello graduated in Mechanical Engineering at Polytechnic University of Milan with a thesis on tyre dynamics. Career After graduating, from 1990 to 1994 he was at the Fiat Research Centre. During this time he was involved in projects that concerned vehicle dynamics: his first job was to take care of a model of Ferrari 348. Furthermore, he started a collaboration with Professor Hans B. Pacejka, expert on dynamics of vehicles and tyres. Together they reached important goals in the study of tyre dynamics and after this collaboration Fainello was also known by the nickname "the rubber man". Luca Baldisserri (born 11 December 1962) is an Italian engineer, best known for being the Chief Track Engineer for Scuderia Ferrari between 2007 and 2015. Career Scuderia Ferrari He joined Scuderia Ferrari in 1989, and in 1995 he became Gerhard Berger's race engineer. He worked with Eddie Irvine, and later Michael Schumacher. Stefano Domenicali (born 11 May 1965) is an Italian manager and the current CEO of Formula One Group, replacing Chase Carey. Paolo Martinelli (born 29 September 1952 in Modena, Italy) is an engineer best known for his position as head of Scuderia Ferrari's Engine Department from 1994 to 2006. Career Martinelli studied mechanical engineering at Bologna University, graduating in 1978. He joined Ferrari immediately, at first working on engine design for the company's production cars. In 1994 he was appointed head of the Formula One team's Engine Department, where he took the decision to ditch the commitment to running V12 engines in favour of V10s. The first V10-powered Ferrari raced in 1996, and the team used this configuration to win five Drivers' and six Constructors' Championships before rules were brought in stipulating the use of V8s for 2006.
