Manuel Romero (director)
Manuel Romeo (September 21, 1891 – October 3, 1954 in Buenos Aires) was an Argentina, Argentine film director, screenwriter, dramatist and score composer, one of the most important figures of the Golden Age of Argentine cinema. He directed and wrote over 50 films between 1931 and 1951 even composing the musical scores for several. He was a pioneer of Variety Theatre, and one of the few tango lyrical writers that has reached timeless classical success. When he was a teenager, he began his journalist job in the Magacine Fray Mochoy, and in the newspapers Crítica y Última Hora. His first play, "Teatro breve" is from 1919 with the collaboration of Ivo Pelay. He wrote 180 more. In 1922 the most famous, "El bailarín del cabaret", was staged with the César Ratti's company, where Corsini triunfó (had a success) with "Patotero sentimental". Julio De Caro
Julio de Caro (December 11, 1899March 11, 1980) was an Argentine composer, musician, and conductor prominent in the Tango genre. Life and work His father opened a conservatory in the San Telmo district, in 1913, soon becoming one of the city's best known sources for music, instruments, parts, and lessons. He and his brother, Francisco, were both taught the piano and violin, respectively; though their father ultimately granted them their wish to exchange instruments (a third brother, Emilio, learned the violin). Against his father's wishes, Julio obtained a spot as a second violinist at the Lorea Theatre for a 1915 performance of a zarzuela. Despite his father's punishment and objections, the brothers began attending Buenos Aires' popular tango recitals. Some of these early influences included bandleaders Eduardo Arolas, Juan Carlos Cobián, and Roberto Firpo. Fernando César Ochoa (also called Goyo Godoy; 29 November 1905 – 23 March 1974) was an actor from Argentina who appeared on radio, in films and on TV. Life Fernando César Ochoa was born in La Plata, Buenos Aires, on 29 November 1905. His parents were María Luisa Escandón and Ernesto Gerónimo Ochoa.
