Manuel Calderon (musician)
Manuel Calderon, also known as Comanche Sound, is an American producer, recording and mixing engineer from the border cities of El Paso, Texas and Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua. Education Calderon attended Full Sail University in Orlando, Florida. After graduating in 2005, he started an internship at Westlake Recording Studios in Los Angeles, where he later became a recording engineer. He started his early recording practices here and worked with artists such as Herbie Hancock, Josh Groban, Annie Lennox and Michael Bolton, and producers like Humberto Gatica, Glenn Ballard and Quincy Jones. Career Calderon decided to move back to the border of el Paso, Texas in 2009 to work as an engineer at Sonic Ranch. Some of the artists he worked with included Enrique Bunbury, Zoe, Motel, Animal Collective, Portugal. The Man, David Garza, Nina Diaz ( Girl in a Coma), Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Gogol Bordello. Humberto Gatica is a Chilean-born American recording engineer, mixing engineer and record producer, best known for his work with Celine Dion, Chicago, Michael Jackson, Barbra Streisand, Andrea Bocelli, Josh Groban and Michael Bublé. Odesza (; stylized as ODESZA) is an American electronic music duo originating from Bellingham, Washington. It consists of Harrison Mills and Clayton Knight, known individually as Catacombkid and BeachesBeaches. Fernando Milagros
Fernando Milagros (Talcahuano, Chile, February 1980) is a Chilean pop rock singer-songwriter and a part of the independent music scene in Santiago. He was born Fernando Briones and got his stage name from his three years as the singer and bass player in the band Maria Milagros. He has divided his time between music and a successful career in theater design. Gogol Bordello
Gogol Bordello is an American punk rock band from the Lower East Side of Manhattan, formed in 1999 by musicians from all over the world and known for theatrical stage shows and persistent touring. Much of the band's sound is inspired by Romani music mixed with punk and dub, incorporating accordion and violin (and on some albums, saxophone). The band has appeared in several popular films, most notably ''Everything Is Illuminated'' (2005) in which lead singer Eugene Hütz co-starred with Elijah Wood in a dramedy/adventure story about the Nazi purges in Ukraine. Girl In a Coma was an American indie rock band from San Antonio, Texas, United States, formerly on Joan Jett's Blackheart Records label. The band consisted of Nina (vocals/guitar), Phanie Diaz (drums) and Jenn Alva (bass). The name is a reference to the Smiths' song "Girlfriend in a Coma". David Garza (pronounced Dah-veed; born February 4, 1971) is a Grammy winning Los Angeles based singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer, composer, and visual artist. Biography A third-generation Mexican-American and Dallas-area native David Garza came to Austin in the fall of 1989 to attend the University of Texas. Enrique Bunbury
Enrique Ortiz de Landázuri Izarduy (born 11 August 1967), best known as Enrique Bunbury, is a Spanish singer and songwriter. He has been described as "by far the most international star of Spanish rock." He was propelled to fame as lead singer of Héroes del Silencio.
