Mansiri Himal
Mansiri Himal is a small, high subrange of the Himalayas in north-central Nepal, about northwest of Kathmandu. The Marshyangdi River separates the Mansiri from the Annapurnas to the southwest, then an upper tributary the ''Dudh Khola'' separates ''Peri Himal'' to the northwest. On the east side, the ''Burhi (Budhi) Gandaki'' separates the Mansiri from '' Ganesh Himal'', ''Serang'' or ''Sringi Himal'' and ''Kutang Himal''. All these streams are tributaries to the Gandaki. The Mansiri range is also known as ''Manaslu Himal'' or the ''Gurkha Massif''. Ngadi Chuli
Ngadi Chuli (also known as Harka Gurung Chuli, Peak 29, Dakura, Dakum, or Dunapurna) is a mountain in the Mansiri Himal (or Manaslu Himal), also known as the Gurkha Massif, in Nepal. With an elevation of above sea level, it is the 20th-highest mountain on Earth. Features Flanked by Manaslu to the north and Himalchuli to the southeast, Ngadi Chuli is the middlemost and third-highest mountain of the massif. Though shorter and somewhat rounder than its immediate neighbors when viewed from the more common eastern approaches, it is difficult to access due to snow danger and being flanked by active glaciers in all directions. Himalchuli
Himalchuli (also sometimes written as two words, Himal Chuli) is the second-highest mountain in the Mansiri Himal, part of the Nepalese Himalayas, and the List of highest mountains, 18th-highest mountain in the world. Features Lying south-southeast of Manaslu and Ngadi Chuli, Himalchuli is the second-highest and southernmost of the three mountains that form the heart of the Mansiri Himal. It is a complex massif with a vast horizontal sprawl, connected to shorter satellite peaks such as Baudha () by numerous steep, winding ridges. Topographic Prominence
In topography, prominence or relative height (also referred to as autonomous height, and shoulder drop in US English, and drop in British English) measures the height of a mountain or hill's summit relative to the lowest contour line encircling it but containing no higher summit within it. It is a measure of the independence of a summit. Gandaki River
The Gandaki River, also known as the Narayani and Gandak, is one of the major rivers in Nepal and a left-bank tributary of the Ganges in India. Its total catchment area is , most of it in Nepal. In the Nepal Himalayas, the Gandaki is notable for its deep canyon. The basin also contains three mountains over , namely Dhaulagiri, Manaslu and Annapurna Massif. Dhaulagiri is the highest point of the Gandaki basin. Annapurna
Annapurna (; ) is a mountain situated in the Annapurna mountain range of Gandaki Province, north-central Nepal. It is the 10th highest mountain in the world at above sea level and is well known for the difficulty and danger involved in its ascent. Maurice Herzog led a French expedition to its summit through the north face in 1950, making it the first eight-thousander to be successfully climbed. Marshyangdi River
The Marshyangdi (or Marsyangdi) ( Nepali: , marśyāṅdī) is a mountain river in Nepal. Its length is about 150 kilometres. The Marshyangdi begins at the confluence of two mountain rivers, the Khangsar Khola and the Jharsang Khola, northwest of the Annapurna massif at an altitude of 3,600 meters near Manang village. The Marshyangdi flows eastward through Manang District and then southward through Lamjung District. The Marshyangdi joins the Trishuli river near Mugling as one of its tributaries. Gorkha District
Gorkha District (), a part of Gandaki Province, is one of seventy-seven districts of Nepal, and the fourth largest district of the country in terms of area. It is historically linked with the creation of modern Nepal and the name of the legendary Gorkha soldiers.
