Mangalagiri Assembly Constituency
Mangalagiri is a constituency in Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh that elects representatives to the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly in India. It is one of the seven assembly segments of Guntur Lok Sabha constituency. Nara Lokesh is the current MLA of the constituency, having won the 2024 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly election from Telugu Desam Party. As of 2019, there are a total of 268,429 electors in the constituency. The constituency was established in 1951, as per the ''Delimitation Orders (1951)''. Nara Lokesh
Nara Lokesh (born 23 January 1983) is an Indian politician currently serving as the Minister for Information Technology, Electronics and Communications, Real Time Governance and Human Resources Development in the Government of Andhra Pradesh. He is also the General Secretary of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP). He is the son of N. Chandrababu Naidu, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and President of the TDP. He previously served as the Minister for Panchayat Raj and Rural Development, and Information Technology, Electronics and Communications from 2017 to 2019, following his election as a Member of the Legislative Council (MLC) in 2017. In the 2019 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly election, Lokesh unsuccessfully contested as a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) for the Mangalagiri Assembly constituency. 1952 Madras State Legislative Assembly Election
The 1952 Madras State Legislative Assembly election was held on 27 March 1952 to elect all 375 members of the Legislative Assembly of Madras State (present-day Tamil Nadu). They were the first elections held in the state following Indian independence. Although voting was held in 1952, the Election Commission of India officially designated it as taking place in 1951. No party won an outright majority in the election, though the Indian National Congress (INC) emerged as the largest party with 152 seats and more than a third of the vote. The Communist Party of India (CPI) came in second with 62 seats, followed by the Kisan Mazdoor Praja Party (KMPP) with 35 seats. C. 2004 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly Election
The 2004 Andhra Pradesh Assembly election, was held in 2004 with the Indian National Congress winning 185 of the 294 seats in the Assembly. The 1999 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly election was conducted in 3 phases simultaneously with the 1999 Indian general election for the 11th Andhra Pradesh Assembly.
