Manchester Monarchs (AHL)
The Manchester Monarchs were a professional ice hockey team in the American Hockey League (AHL). They played in Manchester, New Hampshire, Manchester, New Hampshire, at the Verizon Wireless Arena. They were the AHL affiliate of the National Hockey League (NHL) Los Angeles Kings during the team's entire existence. The Monarchs won their only Calder Cup in their final AHL season. ECHL
The ECHL (formerly the East Coast Hockey League) is a mid-level professional ice hockey league based in Shrewsbury, New Jersey, with teams scattered across the United States and Canada. It is a tier below the American Hockey League (AHL). The ECHL and the AHL are the only minor leagues recognized by the collective bargaining agreement between the National Hockey League (NHL) and the National Hockey League Players' Association, meaning any player signed to an entry-level NHL contract and designated for assignment must report to a club in either the ECHL or the AHL. Lowell Lock Monsters
The Lowell Devils were a minor ice hockey team in the American Hockey League playing in Lowell, Massachusetts, at the Tsongas Center. As their name implied, they were the top minor league affiliate of the New Jersey Devils of the National Hockey League. The team was founded in 1998 as the Lowell Lock Monsters and was purchased by the Devils in 2006. After the 2009–10 season, the Devils agreed to move the Lowell franchise to Albany, New York, where their previous AHL affiliate, the Albany River Rats, had played. Mark Lawrence Bavis (March 13, 1970 – September 11, 2001) was an American Hockey League left winger. Biography Born in Roslindale, Massachusetts on March 13, 1970, he started his career playing hockey while attending Boston University. After he graduated, he played with the Providence Bruins and Fredericton Canadiens in the American Hockey League, then the South Carolina Stingrays in the ECHL, previously the East Coast Hockey League. Bavis was also a scout with the Los Angeles Kings. Jeff Eisenberg (born June 27, 1956) is an American businessman and former ice hockey executive. He is currently the president of Eisenberg, Vital & Ryze Advertising of Manchester, New Hampshire. Eisenberg got his start in as a professional manager in sports in baseball, as the general assistant manager of the Holyoke Millers in 1980. The Manchester Monarchs were a professional ice hockey team in the ECHL which began play in the 2015–16 season. Based in Manchester, New Hampshire, and affiliated with the National Hockey League's Los Angeles Kings, the team played its home games at the SNHU Arena. The Monarchs replaced the American Hockey League team of the same name, which played from 2001 until 2015, after which they moved to Ontario, California, and became the Ontario Reign.
