Pawuluge Malinda Pushpakumara, commonly as Malinda Pushpakumara (born 24 March 1987) is a professional Sri Lankan cricketer who plays Test and ODIs. He plays for Colombo Cricket Club in first-class cricket. In January 2019, he took all ten wickets in an innings in a first-class cricket match. Domestic career He took the most wickets in the 2016–17 Premier League Tournament, with a total of 77 dismissals from 9 matches and 18 innings. In November 2017, he was named the best bowler in domestic cricket for the 2016–17 season at Sri Lanka Cricket's annual awards. 2017–18 Premier League Tournament
The 2017–18 Premier League Tournament was the 30th season of first-class cricket in Sri Lanka's Premier Trophy, with the matches played across three days each in the group stage. Chilaw Marians Cricket Club won the tournament, after finishing unbeaten in the Super Eight section of the competition. The tournament started on 8 December 2017 and concluded on 18 February 2018, with fourteen teams competing, split into two groups of seven. 2022 Lanka Premier League
The 2022 Lanka Premier League also known as Mazaplay LPL T20, for sponsorship reasons, was the third edition of the Lanka Premier League (LPL) Twenty20 franchise cricket tournament in Sri Lanka. It was originally scheduled to take place from 31 July to 21 August 2022 with Sri Lanka Cricket initially having promised to conduct LPL tournament targeting the August window. The ODI series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka were scrapped due to the hosting of this tournament. However, in July 2022, the tournament was postponed due to the economic crisis in Sri Lanka, with the aim to play it later in 2022. Kandy Falcons, formerly known as Kandy Tuskers and Kandy Warriors, are a Sri Lankan franchise professional Twenty20 cricket team that competes in the Lanka Premier League (LPL), representing the city of Kandy, Sri Lanka which was founded in 2020. The Lanka Premier League (abbreviated as LPL; , ) is a professional cricket league in Sri Lanka in Twenty20 format contested every year by teams representing Sri Lankan cities from 2020. The league was founded by Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) in 2018. In August 2020, Ravin Wickramaratne, the Vice President of SLC was officially appointed as the director of the tournament. 2020 Lanka Premier League
The 2020 Lanka Premier League also known as My11Circle LPL T20, for sponsorship reasons, was the inaugural edition of the Lanka Premier League (LPL) Twenty20 franchise cricket tournament in Sri Lanka. Five teams based on various Sri Lankan cities played a total of 23 matches. It was originally scheduled to start in August but was rescheduled several times due to restrictions for the COVID-19 pandemic. On 5 November, the tournament was given the green light to go ahead, with all the matches being played at the MRIC Stadium in Hambantota, from 26 November to 16 December 2020. The opening ceremony took place before the first match. The 2019–20 SLC Twenty20 Tournament was a Twenty20 cricket tournament that was held in Sri Lanka. It was played between twenty-six domestic teams in Sri Lanka, with the tournament running from 4 to 21 January 2020. Moors Sports Club were the defending champions. On the opening day of the tournament, Shehan Jayasuriya scored a century for Chilaw Marians Cricket Club and Mohomed Dilshad took a five-wicket haul for Saracens Sports Club. 2019 Super Provincial One Day Tournament
The 2019 Super Provincial One Day Tournament was a List A cricket tournament that was played in Sri Lanka between 4 and 11 April 2019. Four teams took part in the competition: Colombo, Dambulla, Galle and Kandy, with Galle being the defending champions. Initially, Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) said that players would only be considered for the 2019 Cricket World Cup if they played in this tournament. Lasith Malinga was originally expected to play in the tournament and miss out on some part of the 2019 Indian Premier League (IPL). The SLC then changed its stance, granting permission for Malinga to miss the tournament and play in the IPL. However, days before the start of the tournament, Malinga was listed as playing in a press release issued by Sri Lanka Cricket. The 2018–19 Premier League Tournament was the 31st season of first-class cricket in Sri Lanka's Premier Trophy. The tournament started on 30 November 2018 and concluded on 10 February 2019. Fourteen teams took part in Tier A of the competition, split into two groups of seven.
