Makfax
Makfax () is an independent news agency in North Macedonia. It is the first private news agency in North Macedonia and the South East European (SEE) region, founded in 1992. Starting from May 1993, it has been broadcasting news continuously for more than 15 years. The journalist Risto Popovski is the founder of the agency, whereas Kristijan Landov is the current editor-in-chief, since 2023. Makfax delivers information on events to some news media in the country and the region. On its portal, accessibility-wise, Makfax offers two types of news. The free-access news are available to all visitors of the site and to all subscribers of the electronic (e-mail) packages. Foreign embassies and missions in North Macedonia are the users of the specialized service packages and news. Skopje
Skopje ( , ; ; , sq-definite, Shkupi) is the capital and largest city of North Macedonia. It lies in the northern part of the country, in the Skopje Basin, Skopje Valley along the Vardar River, and is the political, economic, and cultural center of the country. As of the 2021 North Macedonia census, 2021 census, the city had a population of 526,502. Skopje covers 571.46 km² and includes both urban and rural areas, bordered by several Municipalities of North Macedonia, municipalities and close to the borders of Kosovo and Serbia. South East Europe Media Organisation (SEEMO) is a regional non-governmental, non-profit network of editors, media executives and leading journalists in Southeast, South, East and Central Europe. International Press Institute (IPI) is a global organisation dedicated to the promotion and protection of press freedom and the improvement of journalism practices. The institution was founded by 34 editors from 15 countries at Columbia University in October, 1950. IPI has a membership category: "IPI Leading Journalists", which is open to heads of media departments, bureau chiefs and media correspondents.
