Majda Potokar (1 March 1930 – 25 April 2001) was a Slovenian film and theatre actress. Daughter of actor Lojze Potokar, she graduated in 1952 from the Ljubljana Theatre, Radio, Film and Television Academy. Before graduation she appeared in her first role in the 1948 film '' On Our Own Land'', the first ever Slovenian feature film directed by France Å tiglic. Majida El Roumi Baradhy (; born 13 December 1956) is a Lebanese-Egyptian soprano singer and United Nations Goodwill Ambassador. Early life Majida El Roumi Al Baradhy was born on 13 December 1956 in Kfarshima. Her father, Halim El Roumi, was a Melkite Christian born in Tyre, South Lebanon, and her mother was Egyptian. Her father's family moved to Haifa in 1921 to avoid the hardships of World War I. The El Roumi residence was a meeting place for many cultural figures and singers. Magda el-Sabbahi, commonly known as Magda,(; 6 May 1931 – 16 January 2020) was an Egyptian film actress and producer notable for her roles from 1949 to 1994. Majda Sepe (; 2 July 1937 – 11 April 2006) was one of the most successful and well recognized Slovenes, Slovenian singers in the time of Yugoslavia and was one of the most renowned singers of the Golden Age of Slovenian folk music. Biography Early life Majda Bernard was born on 2 July 1937 in Ljubljana. Her mother had fled the Primorska region because of Italian Fascism, and her father was from Å kofja Loka, a town near Ljubljana. They lived together in Ljubljana where he worked as an ambulance driver and she was a clerk. Their first child was a boy they named Marjan, who wanted a baby sister. The family lived in Ljubljana Castle, which had been converted into public housing. Princess Majda Ra'ad (; born Margaretha Inga Elisabeth Lind; 5 September 1942 – 3 January 2025) was a Swedish-born Jordanian member of the Hashemite House who was the wife of Prince Ra'ad bin Zeid, the current pretender to the defunct Kingdom of Iraq and Syria and the Lord Chamberlain of Jordan. Bosniaks are an ethnic minority in Montenegro, first introduced in the 2003 census. According to the last census from 2023, the total number of Bosniaks in Montenegro was 58,956 or 9.45% of the population.
