Maintenance Trophy
The Maintenance Trophy is awarded by Lockheed Martin and was introduced in 1996 at the Fincastle competition. Origins The Lockheed Martin Fincastle Maintenance Trophy was first introduced during Fincastle 1996, which was held in New Zealand. It was felt the competition would strengthen relations between the competing countries, allowing them to learn from each other as well as involving the maintenance teams in the competitive spirit of Fincastle . It is designed to foster relations among the four competing nations (RAF, RCAF, RNZAF and RAAF) and encourage learning and sharing skills in a competitive atmosphere. The competition runs in parallel to and is intrinsically linked to the Fincastle Competition, which the aircrew compete for. The competition is judged by a team of Senior Non-Commissioned Officers SNCOs, one from each nation, led by an Engineering Officer from the host country. Nimrod (; ; arc, ܢܡܪܘܕ; ar, نُمْرُود, Numrūd) is a biblical figure mentioned in the Book of Genesis and Books of Chronicles. The son of Cush and therefore a great-grandson of Noah, Nimrod was described as a king in the land of Shinar (Mesopotamia). The Bible states that he was "a mighty hunter before the Lord nd... began to be mighty in the earth". Later extra-biblical traditions identified Nimrod as the ruler who commissioned the construction of the Tower of Babel, which led to his reputation as a king who was rebellious against God. Nimrod has not been attested in any historic, non-biblical registers, records or king lists, including those of Mesopotamia itself. No. 10 Squadron is a Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) signals intelligence squadron based at RAAF Base Edinburgh, South Australia. It is part of No. 42 Wing RAAF. The squadron was formed in 1939 as a maritime patrol unit. It saw active service during the Second World War, conducting anti-submarine operations and patrols from bases in the United Kingdom until it disbanded in late 1945. Canadian Forces Base Comox , commonly referred to as CFB Comox or 19 Wing, is a Canadian Forces Base located north northeast of Comox, Vancouver Island, British Columbia. Whenuapai is a suburb and aerodrome located in northwestern Auckland, in the North Island of New Zealand. It is located on the northwestern shore of the Waitematā Harbour, 15 kilometres to the northwest of Auckland's city centre. RAF Kinloss
Royal Air Force Kinloss or RAF Kinloss is a former Royal Air Force (RAF) station located near the village of Kinloss, on the Moray Firth in the north east of Scotland. The RAF station opened on 1 April 1939 and served as a training establishment during the Second World War. After the war it was handed over to Coastal Command to monitor Soviet ships and submarines in the Norwegian Sea. Until 2010 it was the main base for the RAF's fleet of Nimrod MR2 maritime patrol aircraft. It was intended that the MR2 would be replaced by the Nimrod MRA4, but the MRA4 was cancelled in the Strategic Defence and Security Review of October 2010. Greenwood, Nova Scotia
Greenwood is a village located in the western part of Kings County in Nova Scotia's Annapolis Valley. History Greenwood was a small hamlet south of the Dominion Atlantic Railway's Kingston Station. In 1942, the Royal Air Force established RAF Station Greenwood and built an aerodrome on nearby farmland to provide a facility for training aircrew under the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan. The Royal Canadian Air Force took over the facility in 1944, renaming it RCAF Station Greenwood, a name it maintained until the 1 February 1968 unification of the Canadian Forces which saw the airfield and associated facilities renamed CFB Greenwood. In July 1997 the air base became one of eleven operational wings in Canada, and was designated as 14 Wing Greenwood. Royal New Zealand Air Force
The Royal New Zealand Air Force (RNZAF) ( mi, Te Tauaarangi o Aotearoa, "The Warriors of the Sky of New Zealand"; previously ', "War Party of the Blue") is the aerial service branch of the New Zealand Defence Force.
