Maharaja (2024 Film)
''Maharaja'' () is a 2024 Indian Tamil-language action thriller film directed by Nithilan Swaminathan, who co-wrote the script with Raam Murali. It is jointly produced by The Route, Think Studios, and Passion Studios. The film stars Vijay Sethupathi in the titular role, alongside Anurag Kashyap, Mamta Mohandas, Natarajan Subramaniam, Abhirami Gopikumar, Singampuli, Aruldoss, Munishkanth, Sachana Namidass, Manikandan and Bharathiraja. The film was officially announced in February 2023 under the tentative title ''VJS50'', as it is Sethupathi's 50th film as the lead actor. Principal photography commenced the same month, predominantly taking place in Chennai throughout a single schedule. Nithilan Swaminathan
Nithilan Saminathan is an Indian film director and screenwriter who works in the Tamil cinema, Tamil film industry. He is known for his debut film, ''Kurangu Bommai'' and ''Maharaja (2024 film), Maharaja'', one of List of Tamil films of 2024, the highest grossing Tamil films of 2024. Early life Nithilan initially aspired to join the military like his relatives, but his love for films and poetry gradually steered him towards filmmaking. Aruldoss
Aruldoss is an Indian actor who has appeared in supporting roles in predominantly Tamil language films. Prior to focusing on an acting career, he worked as a cinematographer for several films. Career After completing school, Aruldoss worked as a photographer at weddings. Through his acquaintances, he managed to get a breakthrough into the Tamil film industry and served as an assistant cinematographer in Sundar C's ''Arunachalam'' (1997). Abhirami () (née Divya Gopikumar; July 1983) is an Indian actress and television host. She has acted in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada films.
