''Magik Six: Live in Amsterdam'' is the sixth album in the Magik (album series), ''Magik'' series by well-known Trance music, trance Disc jockey, DJ and Record producer, producer Tiësto. As with the rest of the Magik series, the album is a live turntable mix. It was recorded on June 23, 2000, during a Wildlife event at Melkweg, Amsterdam. Tijs Michiel Verwest (; born 17 January 1969), known professionally as Tiësto ( , ), is a Dutch DJ and record producer. He was voted "The Greatest DJ of All Time" by ''Mix (magazine), Mix'' magazine in a 2010/2011 poll amongst fans. In 2013, he was voted by ''DJ Mag'' readers as the "best DJ of the last 20 years". He is also regarded as the "Godfather of Electronic dance music, EDM" by many sources. In 1997, he founded the label Black Hole Recordings with Arny Bink, where he released the ''Magik (album series), Magik'' and ''In Search of Sunrise (series), In Search of Sunrise'' CD series. Matt Darey
Matthew Jonathan Darey (born 29 November 1968) is an English trance music producer and performer. Darey has sold over two million albums and singles with numerous top 40 chart hits. Music career Darey was born in Leicester, England. Some of his earliest solo work was under the name Lost Tribe, releasing the EP ''The Distant Voices'' in 1997. The single "Gamemaster" reached number 24 on the UK Singles Chart in 1999. Sadly, the main melody of Gamemaster contains an uncredited sample of the ARIA nominated trance pioneering hit single Dreams written and produced by Quench (musician) Christopher J. Dolan in 1993. In addition to production and remixing work for other artists, Darey began releasing music under his own name in 2004. Vincent De Moor
Vincent de Moor (; born 1973) is a former Dutch trance artist. He is most notable for his work with the record producer Ferry Corsten under the working title, " Veracocha," and for his 2001 single, "Fly Away". Musical career Early career De Moor first recorded in 1993 as Fix To Fax. Tracks released under this alias included "Enjoy Yourself", "Do U Feel It", "Pick It Up" and "Take Control". Other early releases include "Het Vliegende Kunstgebit" as Gmoork, "Chinese Juice" and "Exotic Mind" as Outline, and "Voice In The Dark", "Frame Of Pleasure" and "Brazilia Carnavelas" as Sidewalk. Dawnseekers
Geert Huinink (; born 29 April 1971) is a Dutch electronic music producer and classical composer. His compositions have been released under many different aliases. There is little published about him, but his name has surfaced around some influential and respected leaders in the Trance music scene. He has released tracks under Tiësto's name and has collaborated with artists like Cor Fijneman and Daniël Stewart. Geert has also produced for a Dutch television show called "Meiden van de Wit" in 2002. Game soundtrack composition is another forte of his. Dawnseekers The Dawnseekers is one of the aliases used by Geert, along with Alco Lammers, that produced melodic and uplifting trance tracks during the early 2000s. Kamaya Painters
Kamaya Painters is a trance project name used by Dutch DJs Tijs Verwest, better known as Tiësto, and Benno de Goeij, best known for his participation in the Rank 1 project. History The first single was "Endless Wave" which was released in 1998 in conjunction with "Northern Spirit" which appeared on Magik Four: A New Adventure and "Outstream". It was released on Data Records and Planetary Consciousness in 1999, "Endless Wave" also included two remixes from Tiësto's song "Theme From Norefjell", another version features remixes from "Endless Wave" which was mixed in '' Global Clubbing: Netherlands'' and "Outstream" as a B-side. Moogwai
François Chabloz, known profesionally as Chab, is a Swiss trance music record producer and remixer . Known for his progressive trance style, Chabloz has an extensive history as a remixer and he has also released original material under the monikers Moogwai and Star. Artists remixed by Chab include Gorillaz, Depeche Mode, Röyksopp, Ayumi Hamasaki, Nelly Furtado, and Every Little Thing. The work of Chab has been noticed by electronic DJ Paul Oakenfold and subsequently used on a trance compilation album of the same. Silence (Delerium Song)
"Silence" is a song by Canadian electronic music group Delerium featuring Canadian singer and co-writer Sarah McLachlan, first released as a single in May 1999. Over the years, its remixes have been hailed as one of the greatest trance songs of all time, over two decades after its initial release. Delerium is a Canadian new-age ambient electronic musical duo that formed in 1987, originally as a side project of the influential industrial music act Front Line Assembly. The Thrillseekers
Steve Helstrip, known by the stage name the Thrillseekers, is an English DJ and record producer. His debut single was "Synaesthesia", released in 1999. Helstrip has worked under the guises of En Motion, Insigma, Rapid Eye and Hydra. He also works in remixing, having remixed work by Tiësto, Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, Timo Maas, Sonique (musician), Sonique, Chicane (recording artist), Chicane, Blank & Jones, and Seb Fontaine. Agnelli & Nelson are the collective name of Northern Irish music producers Christoper James Agnew and Robert Frederick Nelson, writers and producers of electronic dance music who have worked in the genre of trance from 1997. They also produced music under the names Afterburn, Cortez, Green Atlas, Quincey & Sonance and The A&N Project.
