Maderanertal
The Maderanertal is an Alpine valley of the canton of Canton of Uri, Uri in Central Switzerland. It is drained by the Chärstelenbach, a stream that is a right tributary of the Reuss (river), Reuss at Amsteg. The highest mountain in the Maderanertal is the Oberalpstock with a height of 3,328 metres above sea level. Other important summits are the Schärhorn, the Clariden, the Düssi, the Gross Windgällen, the Gross Ruchen, Piz Giuv and the Bristen. The Maderanertal include two large lateral valleys: the Etzlital and the Brunnital, drained by the Etzlibach and the Brunnibach respectively (both left tributaries). The upper valley is heavily glaciated, the largest glacier being the Hüfi Glacier. The Maderanertal belongs to the municipality of Silenen. The main locality is Bristen, at an elevation of 770 metres. The locality of Golzern, located near the Golzernsee at 1,400 metres, is a popular destination in the valley. Düssi

Schärhorn
The Schärhorn is a Swiss mountain in the Glarus Alps near Klausen Pass. The highest summit is named ''Gross Schärhorn'' (3,297 m) while a second summit is named ''Chli Schärhorn'' (3,232 m). The mountain overlooks the valley of Schächental to the north side, and the Hüfifirn to the southeast, which finally leads to the Maderanertal to the southwest. Golzernsee

Bristen
The Bristen (3,073 m) is a mountain in the Glarus Alps, overlooking the valley of the Reuss and located to the south of Amsteg in the canton of Uri, Switzerland. The mountain is located about four kilometres north of Piz Giuv and the border with Graubünden. The Bristen is considered one of the main landmarks of the Canton of Uri. Geographic setting and description The Bristen is located about three kilometers to the south of the village also called Bristen in the Maderanertal and about four kilometers north of Piz Giuv, with the Portlilücke (2'506 m) in between. An arête on the north side of the mountain is divided after 200 meters into the northern arête and the northeastern arête. Gross Windgällen
The Gross Windgällen is a 3,187 m high mountain in the Glarus Alps, overlooking the valley of the Reuss (river), Reuss in the canton of Canton of Uri, Uri. The name Gross Windgällen derives from Gälle or gellen, meaning as much as wailing, shrilling or whistling. Geography The massif of the Gross Wingällen lies between two parallel valleys, the Schächental on the north side and the Maderanertal on the south side, both converging to the Reuss on the west at approximately 500 metres above sea level or 2,700 m below the summit. On the north side, the massif encloses a small valley, the Brunnital, which belong to the Schächental, thus forming an amphitheatre of several summits above 3,000 m, including the Gross Ruchen on the east; the north wall of the Gross Ruchen being connected with that of the Gross Windgällen. Clariden
The Clariden is a mountain in the Glarus Alps, located at an elevation of between the Swiss cantons of Uri and Glarus. While on the north the Clariden overlooks the high Klausen Pass, the south side is covered by large glaciers. The Hüfifirn on the west is drained by the Chärstelenbach, a tributary of the Reuss that eventually flows into Lake Lucerne.
