Machilipatnam Assembly constituency is a constituency in Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh that elects representatives to the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly in India. It is one of the seven assembly segments of Machilipatnam Lok Sabha constituency. Kollu Ravindra is the current Member of Legislative Assembly (India), MLA of the constituency, having won the 2024 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly election from Telugu Desam Party. As of 2019, there are a total of 184,506 electors in the constituency. The constituency was established in 2008, as per the ''Delimitation Orders (2008)''. Kollu Ravindra is an Indian politician from Andhra Pradesh currently serving as the Minister for Mines and Geology in the Government of Andhra Pradesh. He is a Member of the Legislative Assembly (India), Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) representing Machilipatnam (Assembly constituency), Machilipatnam assembly constituency. Early life Kollu Ravindra was born in Machilipatnam, Krishna District. He belongs to the Agnivansha, Agnikula Kshatriya community. Machilipatnam mandal is one of the 25 mandals in Krishna district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is under the administration of Machilipatnam revenue division, and the headquarters are located in Machilipatnam town. The mandal is bounded by Bantumilli, Pedana, Gudur, Ghantasala, Challapalli, and Koduru mandals. In March 2023, the state government put forth a proposal for the bifurcation of Machilipatnam mandal into Machilipatnam North and Machilipatnam South mandals. The Telugu Desam Party (TDP; ) is an Indian regional political party primarily active in the Federated state, states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
